The Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleurs will always hold a special place for me. It was my very first cigar and the one that started me on this whole journey. From the first light, it offers those classic Romeo y Julieta flavours: gentle cedar, a touch of spice, and a soft sweetness that keeps you coming back for more. It’s a shorter smoke, which makes it perfect when you don’t have loads of time but still want that genuine Cuban experience. The draw is usually spot on, and the burn steady, giving off plenty of rich, aromatic smoke. What I love most is how versatile it is, smooth enough for beginners, yet flavourful enough to still impress seasoned smokers. For me, it’s the definition of an all-rounder: easy-going, beautifully balanced, and full of the charm that made me fall in love with cigars in the first place.

I received this as part of my subscription. However, I did not have a good experience with this cigar, I had to relight several times and the draw seemed very tight. I tried a recut half way through but this did little to improve the experience. The subscription is a great way to try cigars that you would not normally try and this is one of those cigars, this one will not make my reorder list.

These little RyJs are a perfect morning or pre-dinner cigar, these are type of vitola is I started my cigar journey some 22+ years ago. I wouldnt contemplate lighting one of these little chaps until they have passed their 3rd box date birthday! The flavour of these cigars really improves with age, the review cigar here is box date 2008 and they are smoking really well now. I always have at least two boxes in my aging humidor and this is the cigar I would give to someone new to cigars to get them thinking about aging (Id get them to try a younger one and an aged one for comparison) Im sure the aging improves the draw on these, the flavours are mild to medium I find them floral and woody with a coffee and slight leather on the finish, this is not a super complex cigar but a great 40 minutes of smoking pleasure, if your thinking of getting some of these, get an aged one if you can, if not age it yourself and you will be rewarded of your patience!

Well, I got this cigar in my monthly subscription. So, why 3 star? My review has nothing to do with the great service at Cgars or its staff, just the cigar in question. The draw was extremely tight. It felt like sucking wet cement through a straw filled with dry cement at first. I used my unplugging tool and didn’t have much joy either. I’m a persistent bloke, so I carried on trying and got some good smoke, the ash held and was a nice white. After ten minutes of smoking I managed to get some lovely flavour of cedar and earth, but it was a serious chore to smoke. I might have got a dud, but it won’t put me off, but this particular cigar I’ll probably pass on. I got a good twenty mins of great flavour but it went out too quick. Great flavour, awful draw. Not for me but glad I tried. 3/5
