The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Broadleaf has quickly become one of my favourites for a shorter smoke. It lasts me about 25-30 minutes, and every time I light one up it feels like I’ve carved out half an hour of pure peace from the world. The flavour is rich and smooth, with that trademark broadleaf sweetness and depth that makes it stand out from a lot of other cigars in this size. I use a V-cut, and it works perfectly, giving me an easy draw the whole way through. I’ve found that a bit of dry boxing (about 8 hours outside the humidor) really brings out the flavours and keeps the burn cooler. Straight out of my 69% humidor, it tended to run a little hot and even burnt my lips once, so the dry boxing makes a huge difference for me personally. For me, this cigar isn’t just a smoke, it’s a proper little ritual. When I’m standing there with it, the half-hour just feels like heaven. If you’re after a short smoke that still feels like something special, this one’s tough to beat. And a great price too.

A really enjoyable cigar. Burns evenly with a nice amount of smoke. Well constructed, not tight but with a pleasant draw. Lasts about 45 mins but that perhaps just me. I left one with the wrapper undone for a few weeks and found this made it far smoother but still a strong flavour.

Im quite new to cigars, having only sampled about 20 types now, so I dont know how much weight his review carries, but this, is right up there as one of my favourites so far. A wonderful time with this one.

Great tasting cigar couldnt cut it not sure if its my cutter or the cigar but done the Cuban thumb nail trick and really enjoyed the smoking experience.

Smooth and nutty with something about it almost reminding me of a Cuban, a hint around the edges perhaps. Drawn and burn faultless, worth a go for the price. Nice way to kill 20 minutes.
