ROCKY PATEL

In an industry built on name recognition and reputation, Rocky Patel’s passion has brought his luxury brand to heights unseen by most boutique cigar manufacturers. His hard work and long hours have been paying off in big ways.

Great cigars are more than just fire and tobacco. Only a true artist, who loves his craft as much as he respects it, can achieve the distinction and flavour of a premium cigar. Utilizing the finest tobaccos in the world, and an unyielding drive for excellence, Rocky Patel has redefined the industry.

VINTAGE 1990

The 1990 Vintage is a medium-bodied cigar leaning more toward the milder side with a nutty, caramel essence.

This cigar is highlighted by a 12-year-old Honduran Broadleaf wrapper that has softened in strength over the years yet gained in complexity and flavour.

Renowned for its elegance and balance, the 92-rated 1990 Vintage has twice been placed in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of the Year!

Surprisingly heavy for the size. Velvety, creamy smoke. Vegetable, nuts, subtle spiciness, milk chocolate, dried grass, fresh and earthy. Slightly sweet. Complex, aromatic and extremely pleasant aroma. Leather, coffee. Smooth, robust, waxy wrapper. Perfect draw that produces copious amounts of smoke. 1.3 inch ash. Respectable strength. Cool draw all the way down to an inch. 43 minute smoking time. Densely packed, spongy feel. Indulgent, luxurious experience. Lovely aftertaste. Outstanding cigar.

Lovely smoke, great flavours with a nice dark oily wrapper, a nice little bit of spice towards the end. Pretty much perfect draw, not tight but not too easy. Burned a little uneven and had to touch up a few times but nothing major. Had to tip the ash as it stayed on for so long. Not sure how long it lasted but it was a decent amount of time. Great size if youre still hankering for a little more at the end of the night, which is exactly what I was after when smoking this. Will be ordering more. 4.5/5 half a point off for the slightly uneven burn.

A quality stick, great construction with a good burn, draw and ash. Flavours were of a buttery sweet earth and pepper. Lasted over 40 min so good value.

Decent cigar, slightly stronger than my taste. Kingsley Coman scored the winner whilst I was in the final third, make of that what you will.

I am certainly not a cigar connoisseur and alas I cannot discern individual tastes in a cigar like some people seem to be able to do, but I do know what I like and what I do not like. What I can say without hesitation or reservation is that I definitely do like these cigars in all aspects!
