Charatan Churchill Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 15 June, 2021
What a pleasure ! I dont often review, well this is my 1st ! But the flavour of this cigar is still on my lips and Id like to give it credit. A big cigar, a Churchill at 7 and 48 ring gauge at £13.39 but you already know that. Before lighting; it has a lovely medium dark binder, no flaws I can see, no glue repairs needed, nice clean aroma. It cut very cleanly and the pre light draw was open and free from any plugs that I can feel. Toasted and lit the first draw was cool with a good rounded flavour, mild for such a large cigar, after a couple of minutes it came to life, my kind of life, what a soothing flavour. I settled down hoping against disappointment, and it never happened. I started at 15:40 ended at 17:30, note I smoke slowly, compared to what Ive read from others, I want to take my time, this hobby aint a cheap one, I gave up cigarettes 6 years ago after 40 odd years so now I can afford the odd cigar now and then, and I dont cough my guts out in the morning, a blessing! First impressions...I LIKE! Very even burn, compared to many, extremely nice taste on the lip and through

Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Sorry, found this to be the first disappointing smoke Ive experienced from the Drew Estate stable, mild and tasteless requiring an effort to keep it producing; one of a bad batch?

Trinidad Reyes Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 15 June, 2021
I am writing this review sat in the morning sun under the shade of my apple tree. Next to me, on the garden bench a cup of Kenya AAA coffee and in my hand a Trinidad Reyes. In these strange days this is probably as close to heaven as you can get. The Trinidad is a perfect size for a thirty to forty minute smoke and indeed my ideal size for both feel in the hand and duration. It draws perfectly, is pleasant and smooth all the way to the end, no hint of bitterness or heat, perfect with my morning coffee. I am relatively new to Cubans and this is only my second Reyes but it’s quickly became a firm favourite. Excellent service by the way, from Cgars as usual.

Montecristo Especial No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 14 June, 2021
Beautiful smoke! I normally prefer the chunky cigars but this one was great for a light midweek smoke. It burned with a lovely consistency and not too much of a kick. Quite mild indact. I would definitely get one if these again. I love the montecristos and this is no exception.

Mitchellero Novellini Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 14 June, 2021
So my review reflects the quality of the cigar build as well as the smoke. To the latter, it looked tightly rolled but actually drew really well, the ash held all the way down and it was moslty pleasant. Actually far better than the davidoff WC traveller belicoso (which unlike every other davidoff i’ve had, was bland). So for smoke and price undoubtedly great value. However this cigar had bloomed (is that the right word) at the end like it had dried out and rehydrated. Also the wrapper is wafer thin so when smoking it cracked down the length which ruined the final half. This was due to condition on arrival and if this example had been offered in a shop i would have swapped it out, i guess thats the downside of mail order but i do feel it was obvious this example was poor quality and should have been rejected. Cant comment as to whether this is typical , but i see the boxes are being promoted so someone else can advise. My score reflects my actual experience rather than what could have been.

Por Larranaga Petit Coronas Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 12 June, 2021
Received one of these in Cigars.Ltd sampler. I like the size, petite corona which provides a nice length of smoking time. The construction was good. The taste is sweet on the draw with a spicy and peppery finish. Not so strong on Nicotine and not as smooth as other Cubans that I’ve tried. If you’re looking for a mild to medium strength Cigar in this size then it’s worth trying. A nice introduction to Cubans without blowing your socks off with nicotine.
