VegaFina Nicaragua Robusto Tubed Cigar - 1 Single by Liam

Having previously enjoyed the VegaFina Classic Corona, I was eager to try their Nicaraguan robusto. The vibrant, eye-catching orange packaging immediately stood out, and the pre-light aroma suggested a promising smoke. The cigar felt soft in the hand — at first, I took this as a good sign of proper storage, but I quickly discovered it was instead due to a loose construction. After cutting off the cap I was surprised by the lack of resistance in the draw. Even though I had removed my usual amount, the airflow was far too open, leaving me doubtful from the start. Whilst this did help tame the strength of the Nicaraguan tobacco, it came at the cost of body and character. More often than not, I found myself double or even triple-puffing just to coax out any real flavour. The construction flaws became even more apparent as the session went on. The burn line struggled to stay even, despite a careful toast with a jet lighter. Multiple touch-ups were needed, and at one point I had to perform a full re-light. Plasencia Alma Del Cielo Celeste Robusto Cigar - 1 Single by Matthew

A beautiful cigar throughout. While the flavour evolution wasn't as pronounced as I was hoping for, reviews I've read elsewhere online are spot on about the honey, wheaty and nutty taste, especially on the first third and even more so on the cold draw (it was like inhaling a particularly delicious cereal bar!). While these flavours largely subsided by the middle of the cigar, a pleasant sweetness dominated throughout. Very little (if any) spice or pepperiness. Incredibly smooth draw with just the right amount of resistance. It was quite clear that the construction was high quality and the cigar as a whole simply felt like a very well-made product. Great amount of smoke you felt like you could chew. The nicotine build-up at the end was gradual rather than hitting you all at once. This was a welcome surprise for someone who's new to cigars but wants to move up in strength without being completely overwhelmed (though I didn't smoke the entire nub so can't comment on if it continued like this).

My Father Connecticut Robusto Cigar - 1 Single by Henry

Highly recommended cigar. A premium product, perfectly constructed and oozing quality. Needless to say, the burn was perfect, as was the draw. It lasted for 35-40 minutes (sorry, I forgot to check) and was consistent right up until the bitter end (quite literally as it turned out) when I discarded it. However, this really was the very end and it would have been unreasonable to expect any more from it. Lots of smoke in delicate flavours evoking thoughts of countryside in the summer.

Vegueros Entretiempos Cigar - 1 Single by Joshua

I let this sit in the humidor for nearly 2 months and dry boxed it for 24 hours before enjoying with a Friday night rum. This was an enjoyable smoke but I felt the flavours were fairly muted for the most part. It was quite spicy in the first third developing into a smooth and feint walnut in the second. The final third was the star of the show with some strong florals and a creamy walnut after taste.

Zino Nicaragua Short Torpedo Cigar - 1 Single by David

This was my first time smoking this brand and I was impressed. It lasted approx. 30 mins, plenty of smoke and a pleasant taste over all (I got raisins and leather). I will certainly buy this again.

Cohiba Siglo I Cigar - 1 Single by Harrison

The Cohiba Siglo I might be small, but it quickly became one of my favorite cigars I’ve smoked so far. From the very first draw, it just felt effortless, an all round creamy smoke, and flavors that seemed to flow naturally without me having to think too hard about them. I picked up smooth notes of cedar, a little sweetness, and that signature Cohiba grassy touch that gives it such a refined feel. Its flavours are so clean and balanced that it feels far more special than its size suggests. The construction was flawless I see where the reputation comes from. The burn was exquisite, no touchups, just pure enjoyment from start to finish. For me, this cigar is the definition of elegance in a small format. Quick enough for when time is short, but satisfying enough to feel complete. Truly effortless, and a cigar I’ll remember. One I’m excited to pick up and smoke again.
