I bought a bundle of Jose L. Piedra cigars a few years ago when I was very new to cigars, and liked them. So, I was looking forward to these - but they were very disappointing.
The flavours were very mild, though I knew they would be so I have no problems there. The problem was the draw - I would estimate well over half the cigars were bunged so tight that I could barely smoke them. The analogy of sucking a golf ball through a straw comes to mind. They also burned quite unevenly, though I expect that was the result of me over-puffing to try and get any smoke out of the damn things.
When I persevered, they got better around the last third, and the flavours - though light and mild - were pleasant enough. But I got so brassed off with the draw issues, I binned a few of them early on (which is unusual for me, as I am a bit of a skinflint and usually try and get my moneys worth).
Maybe I had a dud box - but personally for this price point, I would now go for a blue Inka Secret Blend instead of these. Being Cuban clearly isnt everything.

Ive probably smoked 15 to 20 different cigars in the last year, all roughly £12 - £25 each or thereabouts. The Montecristo No.4 is by far the best. I just cant fault it at all. The earthy smooth coffee flavour is never too strong, never too mild. The draw is never too tight, never too loose. This cigar simply delivers perfection for me. My favourite my a long way.

Ive left more than one review in the last year but I feel compelled to comment again. The latest was in the humidor for around 3 months and was simply perfect. The draw was spot on and the flavours just developed superbly as I smoked it. Probably lasted for around 30 minutes in total but I didnt want it to end.
This is by far my favourite cigar. Im not one for spending too much on a cigar because I never see a direct correlation between quality and cost. However the montecristo number 4 is worth every penny as far as Im concerned.

Not bad for the price. Smokes good. Draw was good and there was some flavours. Toward the end it got a kittle spicy. 7/10

Haven’t tried it yet,as it’s a gift for my dad :D but looks alright to me and very thoughtful put in a wooden box ;D

Smelt like burnt clutch. Tasted like cheap hamlett you get from the garage. The first few puffs was OK but it kept going out half way then unravelled completely. I got this with the quick puff pack. 1 of 11.
