CLE Signature Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 01 September, 2024
Purchased CLE Signature THT-EKE 03/17 as part of one of the CGars promotions back in May, popped it in my humidor and forgot about it. Three months later, on a pleasant Friday evening after work thought must be time to try this...... I was not disappointed. I would love to say I am one of those people who can spot the notes of different types of nuts, wood, and spices, but I'm not. I just know what I like and enjoy and really I liked and enjoyed the THT-EKE 03/17 (just don't like the name). The flavours become fuller in the second third making for a nice evolving experience, with the final third becoming spicier towards the end but the strength staying unchanged throughout the whole smoke. Obviously as I had enjoyed THT-EKE 03/17 as a pleasurable event I thought I would get a couple more to stock up on, only to note a couple of reviews of this cigar across a number of sites saying they had problems with the wrapper been crumbly with bits falling off. I didn't experience this and I am not sure if was because it had a couple of months just sat in a humidor, or I just

Charatan Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 31 August, 2024
Smoke time: 50 minutes *Initial Draw:** Mild, aromatic, with cedar and black pepper notes. The draw is open, necessitating short, frequent puffs. - **Construction:** Decent, with the ash staying intact through the first third. - **First Third:** Pleasant but lacking complexity. - **Second Third:** Develops a noticeable acidity and acridity that detracts from the flavor. - **Final Third:** The flavors continue to deteriorate, becoming bland and losing complexity. While there is some improvement toward the end, it remains underwhelming. The cigar has some positive aspects, such as decent construction and a pleasant aroma on the initial draw. However, it also has notable downsides, particularly as it progresses into the second and final thirds. Overall, it seems like the cigar started with some promise but ultimately disappointed as it progressed.

Chinchalero Novillo Torpedo Cigar - 1 Single

I selected this one to enjoy on an afternoon in the late August sun. It was bought to try out the large diameter as I usually smoke narrower cigars. It took 45 minutes as stated and there was zero bitterness for me. The smoke was mild but pleasant and there were no real discernable flavours to it. It did however burn unevenly, persistently on one side. When the ash dropped off I could see an area of filler that was much less dense causing the problem.

Black Label Trading Company Deliverance Porcelain Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Incredible cigar. It's more light to medium than medium but delicious smoke, even burn, developing flavours without ever becoming hot or overbearing, perfect moisture content. Very very nice smoke for lovers of that New World creamy flavour. Honestly for me this beats the Epicure No 2 in terms of flavour and offers the same qualities otherwise at a better price point. I know BLTC is big in the states but we need more love for these over here.

Drew Estate Factory Smokes CT Shade Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Good construction and draw with plenty of smoke. Smoked at a rain sodden BBQ, and unfortunately, they didn't make it any better. Taste was bland and uni-dimensional, with a bitter back edge. Smoked 2 and have to credit the consistency. Sorry, hate leaving bad/down-beat reviews...

Excellent stick with tasty flavours. Burns smoothly and slowly. Unquestionably a nice one among the cheaper stogies.
