A nice smoke. From what I remember, the Diplomaticos range was introduced to produce Montecristo shapes at a lower price. Construction is extremely good - though not up to Monte standards. The #2 torpedo is not as complex as a (good) Monte #2, but it`s a fine earthy smoke, flavoursome and - as Mitch says - light to medium strength. Not something you`d have after a heavy meal, but a nice daytime smoke nonetheless. I enjoyed mine, but I`d prefer a Vegas Robaina or Monte, to be honest. The qualifier to that is that both the Robaina and Monte are eighty quid more a box- and for the money, thr Diplomaticos range represents excellent value. written by Dave Francis

Good, cheap and innofensive daytime smoke. Milder than I expected and the shape made me jump for my Panama Hat which made me look a plonker at Leigh Cockle Sheds. Well worth a try written by Creekend

What can I say? An absolutely first rate cigar. Excellent construction with lovely oily wrappers. Excellent burn with an easy draw. Lots of character, with strong spicy notes coming through. Good long finish. Quality has been extremely consistent throughout the whole box, and I'll certainly be buying these cigars again. written by Nick
