Fonseca Cosacos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 23 March, 2011
this is a good smoke, smooth, good draw and subtlely complex flavours. Well constructed and burned very evenly. A good value Cuban for £2.00 less than some others.

Quite a reasonable smoke though it last a lot longer than the Exquisitos I find the latter much more enjoyable.

Did not enjoy this cigar. Very uneven burn and went off TWICE.Wrapper did not match filler burn.

Partagas Mini Cigarillos - Pack of 10
Date Added: Thursday 17 March, 2011
Looser rolled than the Cohiba or RyJ minis, with little tendency to go out. Taste-wise they're not as spicy/leathery as a RyJ mini, but still have the Cuban Partagas essence and a bit of strength to them. A pity the Cuban minis aren't rolled slightly fatter though - it could boost the flavour no end.

Jose L Piedra Petit Cetros Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Thursday 17 March, 2011
A recent pack of these I had (not from here) were a real disappointment. One wrapper and binder was so badly split and unravelled that the cigar was unsmokeable. The other four in the pack were very solid and plugged at the band or between the band and foot - over-filled I think. One was plugged so badly it was impossible to get it to even light, never mind draw, another two very hard work, and the plugs got worse as the cigar heated up. Even relieving them with a steel skewer did little to help. A pity as the flavour is actually not bad at all. Hopefully these examples were from from an isolated bad batch.

Montecristo Puritos Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Thursday 17 March, 2011
Not a bad little machine-rolled cigar at all, and an everyday "supermarket standard" for me. Large enough to get a decent amount of flavour from, with consistent quality and a pretty easy draw. Not as complex a cigar as a hand-made one costing far more, but pretty decent all the same. Be aware though that if your usual fare is Henri Winterman or similar mild, small "Dutch" short-fillers, these are quite a bit stronger. I've rated this cigar against its competitors in roughly the same price range - the likes of Winterman, Castella, Villiger etc. Against a long-filler costing somewhat more, of course I'd rate it lower; but compared to its competitors it's not bad at all.
