Montecristo No. 5 Cigar - 1 Single

One of my favourites when a quick smoke is the order of the day. Great with coffee and a few squares of nice dark chocolate which compliments the nice sweet flavour with a hint of cocoa. Typical Montecristo quality.

Rich and spicy. Nice even burn, lit easily and did not go out. Plenty of flavour and nice easy draw. Went down well with a coffee and scotch. Has made me realise that it doesn't have to always be cuban to be a nice smoke. Will be buying some more for sure. Fantastic value - Andy Roberts

Well now I can see what all the fuss is about, this cigar is simply gorgeous. On clipping I thought it was going to be very tight as the cigar was densely packed however this had the easiest draw I have found so far. The burn was nice and even and the spice starts to build after the first third. Strong ash and a very slow burn meant it took me 1 hour to get down to the nub. The final 3rd has a full flaovur without being harsh. I really was sorry to see the end of this one and will definitely be smoking more of these.

Must admit I wasn’t expecting much of this, previous RYJ’s had been harsh and not very pleasant, however I couldn’t have been more wrong. This is a little gem, very easy draw all the way to the nub. Smooth creamy smoke which coats the palette, the first 3rd was light in flavour but the flavour started building and by the time I reached the band it had become medium flavoured but not harsh. Took about 45 minutes to smoke all the way and this is one of the very few cigars which I have had that burns strongly in the ashtray. Smokes all the time and produces firm ash which didn’t fall until I was half way through. All in all a very nice surprise and I have ordered some more to lay down and see how they mature.
