Lovely smoke, great construction and draw, full earthy Cuban flavour, exactly what I love and an amazing price for a Cuban cigar!

Romeo y Julieta Petit Julietas Cigar - 1 Single

Very disappointing. Uneven burn, had to relight twice then gave up. Hard work to get any smoke from it. Won't be reordered.

La Invicta Nicaraguan Panetela Cigar - 1 Single

Like this stick's Honduran brother, this is not bad. First impression: The cigar was firm to the touch; not a lot of give. It had a mild tobacco aroma. Upon lighting, I was surprised to find that unlike the blurb on this stick, it had a tight draw that carried on throughout. The flavour is nice, with a rich tobacco taste and a nutty underscore. As I moved on to the middle third the taste got a bit stronger and richer. It was augmented by a woody flavour that added to my enjoyment. Again, the draw was still tight. I had to coax it to keep it going but still had to relight it once. Going into the final third, the taste remained consistent. I did have a quick moment of dread when I tasted tar - I began to worry it was going to be like the Honduran I smoked yesterday. However, it was gone as quickly as it came. In conclusion, this is a nice, medium-flavoured stick. Draw is tight, but the flavour is worth the effort. There's an average amount of smoke, and overall this is a decent cigar; certainly worth a try.

Henri Wintermans Half Corona - Pack of 5 cigars
Date Added: Saturday 23 July, 2016
These little half coronas generally get a bad rep - I decided to ignore that and give them a chance. Now, my hypothesis regarding their reputation is based upon the price-point being somewhat tailored toward the beginner. Generally, they'll be picked up on a whim as a first foray into cigars; the problem begins! These overheat VERY easily. If you don't respect that, the bitterness is staggering and very off putting. One has to realise that to enjoy these, you must give it time. I have no problems relaxing for a good 35 minutes with one! Take it slow and without the over-heating problems, they're a very tasty little smoke. Woody, earthy and as has already been mentioned, a nice slight sweetness. If you're looking for complexity, this isn't it. However, for good construction, great burn and a comfortable draw, all combined with a lovely smooth taste and pleasant oily texture - go for it! Less than £2 a stick.. come on. Get your self a pack (or two) and enjoy a guilt free, cheapo smoke with a few buddies. 5/5 can't fault them for the price.

Great cigar for value, took me about 45 mind to get through.holds the ash very well and gives an even burn through out. Taste was a little underwhelming but still leaves something on your pallet. I can see myself stocking up on these

La Invicta Honduran Panetela Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 22 July, 2016
Not a bad stick. The draw's a bit tight for the first third, but the taste is nice; mild, leathery with a slight hint of sweetness. Into the middle, the draw eases off a little and it starts to produce some nice, complex flavours - woody, earthy, with a hint of pepper. The final third has an easy draw. The smoke starts getting warm, the spicy taste gets a little stronger. There's a hint of tar and leather. This is okay as a transition from cigarillos to the slightly larger cigars. I got about 45 minutes of burn from it. My only criticism is the tar aftertaste when it's finished.
