LCDH Ramon Allones Allones Superiores Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 13 August, 2015
A really well made cigar. Presentation was immaculate and the La Casa del Habano band looks cool. Typical Ramon flavours in some ways. Fruity with a mild chocolate. Not as pronounced as the Allones Extra Limited Edition from 2011 but still noticeable. Medium bodied but becomes fuller towards the end with a roasted nut taste and leaves an oily finish on the lips. Added to 'My Favourites'!

Simply put, a brilliant cigar and especialy for the price. Smooth taste, gives good smoke and large solid ash.

Alec Bradley Prensado Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Really nice cigar. Smooth, with bitter chocolate notes and peppered coffee foam (ha, does that make any sense?!). Got a bit harsh to the end so I had to slow down. Burns well but had to re-light once. A slow burner for sure. Definitely will buy again and am keen on trying the Churchill size.

Regius Petit Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Great construction, great smooth slightly warm and even draw. Slightly sweet tasting and Im loving it... I've been enjoying this fine cigar with a Cornish ale 'DOOMBAR' and been smoking it for coming up to 50 minutes with still an inch and 3/4 left. Had to leave this baby all alone to get more beer from the bar so I was expecting to relight but I needn't have worried myself...For the money it's now become a fav of mine

San Cristobal El Principe Cigar - 1 Single

I had a couple of these sitting in my humidor for about a year, so I thought I'd give one a try this weekend. Judging by the packing at the foot of the cigar, construction looked good and the wrapper looked fine with no noticeably large veins. Pre-light aroma was like a very light manure, but not unpleasant. The draw was excellent from the very first puff with plenty of thick white smoke. The first third was mild, but with a very slight spiciness at the edge of the tongue. This developed into a beautiful creamy taste two-thirds in, still with a very easy draw. Unfortunately, by the final third, the wrapper began to unfurl, spoiling the experience somewhat. This was the only negative I could find. This cigar held it's ash very well and and was long lasting (about an hour) given it's relatively small size. Will definitely be buying these again and would recommend them highly.

La Invicta Nicaraguan Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 07 August, 2015
Bought this cigar a while back as part of a bundle to pad the numbers because it was reasonably priced. Just smoked it over a warm lunchtime today and was pleasantly surprised. I found it ever so slightly spicy with generally an earthy, oaky flavour. Draw was a little loose for my liking but produced plenty of smoke. Ended up getting close to an hour out of it and really enjoyed it, but it changed my perception of cigars. Up to now I've been content with coronas and similar but the feel of a nice chunky robusto is quite pleasant so I can definitely see myself getting more of these.
