Mild spice to the wrapper, easy, but not too light draw, even burn and well made. Its a richer smoke than the Honduran 58, medium flavour starting with light leather and cedar. Cedar develops right to the finger tips. Never harsh. Allowing the punitive tobacco tax in the UK, both the Invicta 58's offer good value. Thanks to Cgars for finding them for us.

I've just recently got into smoking cigars and have been trying different brands to see what I like, wow this cigar is amazing.
Firstly the construction was impeccable. Beautiful dark chocolate oily wrapper with a stunning band wrapped around it, I took a good few mins admiring it's beauty and it's aroma.
The light and first draw was a delight with a pleasent coco coffee hit and lots of lovely smelling smoke.
First 1/3 was gorgeously smooth with some hints of nuts and dark coca beans.
2/3 I got my first big nicotine hit and the smoke got even smoother, the nutty taste has submerged and I was greeted with a more ntense coco coffee leathery taste.
3/3 wow this cigar packs a punch, much the same as the 2/3 but much stronger, I smoked this until I couldn't hold it anymore and boy did this cigar knock me for six, beng still a novice to cigar smoking and haven't not eaten, I felt what I can only describe as cigar drunk. I will definitely eat before smoking one of these again and maybe less coffee.
Overall a beautiful cigar in taste, construction and smoke, can't recomme

Partagas Serie D No. 6 Cigar - 1 Single

As one of my first dozen smokes it was definitely a short 30 minute experience as I was smoking on a cold, windy and slightly rainy lunch time.
The wrapper had minimal veins and had a green tint in places. I found that the cut even below the shoulder resulted in the wrapper slightly unravelling nearer the end. It didn't leave an unpleasant after taste like I have experienced form other cigars so I think it would make a great short lunch time break. Lots of creamy smoke and easy draw, which was a real finger burner nearer the end.
However, for me it wasn't really the cigar I was looking for. As for a
£20 per hour smoke I have had a similar pleasant experience from cheaper cigars of this size

La Invicta Honduran 58 Cigar - 1 Single

Very light draw, some loose packing in middle. Pleasant wrapper aroma, strong ash flavour, slight sting on the tongue and hard palate. Mellows in the middle, with a strong nicotine hit. Loose filling makes burn tricky. Flavours dont develop, some sweetness and quality of tobacco, and somehow, an enjoyable smoke. But not one for an occasion.

As a novice cigar smoker I decided to pick up one of these as well as 6 other cigars with various prices this being by far the cheapest one.
So first of the construction of the cigar was pretty good, nice light colour no nasty veins lumps or bumps. Ever so slightly lacking on the filler.
First light was easy. The cigar let of a lovely oaky smell which reminded me of the dad smoking cigars when I was young and brought back fond memories. Nice draw and burnt very evenly for such a cheap cigar.
Taste throughout was consistent with no crazy flavours or complexity. A very mild Oaky, coffee taste with a very pleasent room note. The cigar however was hard to keep alight with not much in the smoke department leading to me having to relight it after the First 1/3.
Overall not a bad cigar experience which I hope to improve on with my next cigar. Which I'm very much looking forward to.

As a relative new comer to cigars I purchased one of these with a sampler package of cubans, and so far this little beauty has been the best, will certainly be ordering some more
