Montecristo Media Corona Cigar - 1 Single

First time smoking this cigar, and it was.. OK. The construction of this cigar is great so no problems there, completed this in about 25 minutes, only ashed out twice and pared this with some coffee in the morning. For me though it lacked in flavour, I mainly picked up some sharp pepper on the lips that faded quickly, a slight grass and hay aroma, and a very flat earthly tobacco throughout, not much change. My only gripe with this cigar unfortunately was that moments after finishing it my mouth felt very dry, almost like drinking gin and tonic and having that overall dry sensation, which I didn;t expect. I personally wouldn't pick this up again, but i think if was aged for a few weeks or months maybe some flavours could of matured

A tremendous cigar! Scarcely believable at the price!

For the price in UK not a bad smoke, but the latest 'batch' seems to have problems with the cap perhaps the binder to.
In short, using a punch cutter, or a guillotine seems to cause the cigar to unravel and forever patching it up.
A decent smoke let down by the quality control

I must admit this was a little disappointing. It started out really well and had a mature, spicy taste but about halfway down became rather tight and difficult to draw. It also started to burn unevenly and I had to relight a couple of times. By no means unpleasant, but not as nice as I had hoped for. I am sure I will give it another go in future but I have plenty on my wishlist to try in the meantime.

I am a cigar novice and made a trip to the Turmeaus store today in Mayfair to purchase this delightful cigar after reading so many excellent reviews (in addition to my regular go to Montecristo Puritos and a Montecristo No. 5). I have to concur, this is a truly wonderful little cigar and I thoroughly enjoyed my stroll through Hyde Park puffing away on this little beauty. It was a lovely smooth draw and burnt really well and brought to mind coffee and nuts. I felt thoroughly relaxed and like another reviewer, smoked it right down to my fingers. I was so sad when it was gone. It is a real pleasure to visit the Turmeaus store which is in a delightful location and I was expertly served by David.

Just layed this cigar to rest and it certainly didn't disappoint, great construction, about 1 hour smoke, medium leathery earthy taste, would defiantly get this cigar again.
