Jose L Piedra Brevas Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Friday 16 February, 2018
I have bought these exact cigars 3 times over the years and whilst they aren't often the best rolled of the Jose L Piedra range I feel the need to write an accurate review of them. Some of those produced aren't rolled correctly (sometimes to tightly, but not overly) but overall I find it crazy that ANY large gauge and large length size smoker hasn't at least given these a go. Iv been smoking Cubans and non Cubans REGULARLY for 15 years and I honestly believe you wont find better bang for your buck than the Jose L Piedra range. I'm not going to name the other high end Cubans I believe this is better than... However, you should really give these a go as although you may get a single bad one out of every 50 that the other 49 would honestly warrant double their price tag.

Bolivar Petit Coronas Cigar - 1 Single

Was not impressed by this cigar at all! It was tobacco harsh without the flavour. Mine was loosely rolled so burned far too quickly, so with no decent flavour and being fast burning it gave me no reason to want to order this one again. It has a fairly small ring gauge so if you enjoy the sharpness without the heavy gauge then this may be favourable for you... But personally I enjoy the larger gauge as believe that's where the different flavours come from. As the saying goes "each to their own".

My Father No. 1 Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Can’t believe these haven’t had a review yet, the construction on these is fantastic every time, really nice oil sheen to the wrapper. They have a strong ammonia type smell to them when left in the humidor. Once lit the flavour is full. Strong flavours. A nice spice and pepper dark woody notes. Bloody lovely! Buy

Jose L Piedra Cazadores Cigars - Pack of 5
Date Added: Friday 16 February, 2018
Iv smoked many Cubans and non Cubans for 15 years now and I always find myself coming back to these. The flavours and enjoyment you get from these are up there with the best of them in my opinion. Originally I was put off by the price thinking "How can a Cuban be this cheap with that ring gauge and length and be any good?"... But after I tried them my mindset completely changed. These Cubans are on par if not better than alot of the medium to strong Cubans on the market in my opinion. The flavour is a lovely earthy taste and hints of spice towards the later third of the cigar. I must have smoked these on and off for the past 7-8 years and still cant understand as to why these are so cheap. I highly recommend giving these a go and believe you wont be able to find a better Cuban for the price.

A bit coarse at times, but not a bad little smoke.

Chinchalero Novillo Torpedo Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 15 February, 2018
Took forever to light this one up and had to keep puffing on it to keep it alight which gave it a horrible bitter taste and uneven burn for the first inch, but maybe it was over-humidified from my new mostly empty humidor. So I blew through it to clear the nicotine build up, ( it looked like dirty exhaust fumes!) then smoked it slowly to let it cool, then it began to open up slowly with a very nice just like a cigar should taste like flavour, and aroma. The final third got even better! But not as balanced as the excellent Novillo fuerte maduro.
