Montecristo Petit Edmundo Cigar - 1 Single

Smoked my first Pet We last evening. My companion smoke another. Both cigars burned very unevenly and became uncomfortably hot in the second half. I found the flavour quite aggressive. In short I did not enjoy it at all. Very overrated. They did not come from Cigars, so no blame to those folks.

Just had my second MMB. Boy did it take me back to a proper time, after 'Nam and we were sent into Africa to hunt down and "deal" with poachers and drug runners. When we got back to the camp, the six of us would sit round the fire, the Huey , Patrols and Landcruisers glinting and reflecting the fire light, the smell of damp heavy canvas from the still steaming tents. It gets dark quickly and early in Africa, a ink blue canopy of the universe studded by diamonds over our heads, our wonderful "boys" would have given us dinner and we fat just chewing the fat about this and that, close by we could hear the big male bull elephants almost grumbling their approval, as they recover from their hang over from too many fermenting Amarula fruit... hyenas calling to each other. The booze would come out and so would the cigars..big American cigars, proper cigars, full of scent and smoke which blended well with my Bourbon...... The MMB? A sensational cigar. There are two major prerequisites for this superb cigar:- Teeth and time. This cigar is big and wide, you need to

Currently on a train ride testing as many different good value cigars as i can. Tonight (15/11/17) i enjoyed said Quorum. The cigar appeared well made. Lovely earthy smells. Dry draw hinted at some lovely sweetness that reminded me of Romeo Y Julieta. All most like a honey taste. However soon turned bitter? The cutting was easy and the burn was even and the ash held well. The taste overall for me was dominated by a peppery spice. My tongue is particularly sensitive (due to outside factors) to anything hot and spicey pepper included so the taste was dominated as such. However not unpleasant and the bitter taste on the draw dry was never to be seen. Smoke lasted around 50 minutes. Overall very nice, it has set a benchmark for the next cigars to come. Well worth a try especially at this price point. Onto a Juliany robusto next to compare. Though i will revisit these as with all i taste test as one go really isnt enough to form a decisive opinion. 3 out of 5 for me, nicely made easy to smoke but for me personally taste was dominated by hot spices and pepper. That may change in t

Conquistador Churchill Cigar - 1 Single

Currently enjoying this smoke, but mine unlike the other reviewer is very loose and quite a quick burner. But the smoke itself is very thick and quite nice, easy draw and rather mild in flavour, smooth taste. Purchased for a 1940s fancy dress but never got round to enjoying it on the night. I probably should have done seeing as it's probably only going to last 30mins. I would buy again as it's good value for the price. Expensive doesn't always mean the best.
