Peterson Connoisseurs Choice Pipe Tobacco 50g Tin
Date Added: Thursday 11 August, 2016
Being new to pipe smoking, i was looking for 'that' smell which reminds you of a memory of a grandfather smoking a pipe and it being a nice smell. The only baccy i'd tried was a Gawith Hoggath blend from the newsagent and a pouch of Condor, neither of which were particularly pleasant nor did they remind me of 'that' smell. Enter the tin of Peterson Connoisseurs tobacco....and wow, this is the stuff ! The aroma of this is so mouthwatering you feel like eating it, the smell is reminiscent of christmas pudding and cake mix. This is the 1st time i've enjoyed pipe tobacco and i'll be buying more of these Peterson aromatic pipe mixtures. If you are looking for 'that' pipe smell then i'd thoroughly reccommend this tobacco.

Padron No. 45 Family Reserve Maduro Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 29 July, 2016
Incredible! Smoked at least three of these now and they are easily my favourite cigar. Thick, creamy smoke from the first puff, great draw, even burn - took a good hour and twenty minutes and went nicely with a bottle of Faustino V red wine. Didn't want it to end, I literally smoked it until it burned my fingers! Happy 90th Birthday Mr Padron, keep up the good work!

Punch Punch Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 07 June, 2016
Reviewed by Peter Nørgaard It was one of the first balmy days of spring in frosty Denmark, and I was sitting on the porch after lunch debating which cigar to go with the gentle breeze and the leafy shadows playing on the grass. I chose a Punch Punch from the humidor - a corona gorda, which is a bit smaller size than I usually prefer. As regards the vitolas, I tend to be tempted by bombast. Large ring sizes, great length. But somehow, it seemed right for the smaller size to echo the small improvements of the thermometer. First of the pleasures, the pre-lighting aroma. None of the dreaded (by me) animal odours, but fresh, crisp, oaky tobacco smells, combined with a tang of liquorice root. Then, the feel. The construction of the cigar was perfect - supple, but not soft, and easy to cut. Then, the sight. Though the wrapper was not entirely free from veins - it was, after all, a cigar leaf, not a printed piece of paper - it was aesthetically pleasing, medium brown, slightly red-tinged. The lighting went well; tight, grayish-white ash formed, and the flavours began. The draw was

Punch Punch Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 07 June, 2016
Reviewed by Jim Schnaidt (February 2001) These are my tasting notes for the 3 Punch Punch cigars which were sent to me. They arrived 2 weeks ago and I've been on a business trip. I waited until returning home to sample them at my leisure in an environment in which I'm used to smoking. I smoke while enjoying different beverages, so I tried each cigar while having a different drink. Cigar #1 was smoked while drinking a couple of shots of Cardhu single malt. The cigar measured 143mm X 46. It had a nice Colorado wrapper and was nicely smooth with no veins. The cap on this cigar was broken when received, although this had no affect on the cigar, since the broken cap was removed prior to smoking. The construction of the cigar was very nice; it had a nice roll and there were no soft spots. It gave ever so slightly when squeezed. There was very little pre-light aroma to the cigar. The pre-light draw was slightly tight, but not overly so. Within the first few puffs after lighting, the draw opened up and the cigar yielded nice, thick smoke, and plenty of it. The cigar burned evenly, with

Partagas Serie D No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 07 June, 2016
Reviewed by Anonymous At 4 7/8" long, with a ring gauge of 50, the Partagas Serie D No.4 is a cigar of classic Robusto proportions. The typical D4 has a chocolate coloured, almost oily wrapper, and is firmly built (albeit responsive to a gentle squeeze), with very little surface vein. I find the D4 an easy cigar to light, and one that burns well; there is no unevenness, and, because the draw is free and consistent, you don't need to puff too frequently or too hard to keep it alight. As a result, it does not burn too hot, which, in turn, means that there is not the bitterness that can be found with some Robustos. It also means that the D4 produces a satisfyingly long, very light grey, firmly packed ash. Each easy draw fills the mouth with a good volume of slightly sweet smelling, bluish smoke, which is where the real fun starts: the D4 is, to my mind, of medium strength (although I know that many consider it to be strong), both in terms of the flavours and the tobacco 'punch.' The main attraction of this cigar is the way in which the flavour 'evolves.' On lighting, there is a

Partagas Serie D No. 4 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 07 June, 2016
Reviewed by Shawn Leventhal (November 2000) I can't tell you all how psyched I was when I opened my mail box and found three beautiful Partagas Serie D No. 4. I definitely don't feel qualified or experienced enough to be doing this, but I welcome the challenge with very open arms and great thanks to Cgars Ltd for giving me the chance. Ok, on with the reviews: First: After a nice steak dinner, I went to a great cigar lounge with some friends and broke out my first tester. The robusto had a very smooth feel, but not too oily. A nice rich chocolate color, and the construction was very good with some veins being apparent throughout the body. Unfortunately, during shipping most likely, the cap was slightly cracked, which only worsened when I applied my bullet punch cut. This tends to be the cut I like the most, especially with a robusto. I had been enjoying the aroma of the cigar since I received it. It had a great "cuban cigar" scent, that just screamed to be smoked. I took a few pre light draws and noticed a very spicy flavor. To pair with this smoke, I ordered a Glenmorangie 18 o
