Por Larranaga Petit Coronas Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 20 September, 2018
Recently retired on health grounds so have time to enjoy the finer things in life. I smoked my first Por Larranaga Petit Coronas outside on my garden patio, in Luton, while storm Ali was blowing through. I had Buena Vista Social Club playing out of my cordless JBL speaker. A mug of Twinnings Breakfast Tea helped to clear my palate. The cigar feels great in the hand and lit well in the squarly winds. Lovely grey ash and burn was easy 40 minutes down to the last inch. Draw was fantastic and my palate was left with a creamy finish. I now know why the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas is so popular. I am new to cigars and this was easy and effortless and flavoursome without being overpowering. No bitterness and just right for me.

Recently tried one of these and really enjoyed it. Found it to be a good strong slow smoke and so enjoyable for this, probably my number one at the moment!

Have been smoking these for almost 20yrs and was my first cigar. Smooth, peppery and slightly sweet with an oily peanut taste. I would recommend this cigar to anyone.

Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 25 August, 2018
Absolutely delicious! This was my first experience with a traditional Cuban and Im really impressed. I was surprised at how strong the flavour was straight from the off. Definitely full strength along with sweet and salty flavours with lovely cinnamon, cream and pepper tones. Burn was fine but it went out a couple of times. Would definitely buy these again. A good night time cigar.

A powerful cigar bursting with flavours. I would definitely recommend to the more experienced smoker. Strong dark coffee flavours mixed in with woody and earthy notes really make this cigar something else. This has definitely becoman one of my favourites.

Peter Stokkebye Virginia Special Pipe Tobacco Loose
Date Added: Tuesday 07 August, 2018
When you read in the description of a tobacco "perfect for blending with flavoured tobaccos" you know it's not going to have much of its own. I occasionally substitute this for my favourite straight Virginia, Royal Yacht, just for a change. It is an ok tobacco, mild, cool smoking and definitely benefits from a few drops of Bourbon to tweak what little flavour it has. Since it is sold loose and because the quality does seem to vary somewhat it is fair to say that when fresh it merits four stars. Alas, this month's delivery was a bit dry and at best deserves no more than three.
