Peterson My Mixture 965 Pipe Tobacco - 50g tin (Formerly Dunhill Range) by David

I bought a tin of this earlier today 15/07/22, from the store in Great Yarmouth. I don't smoke a lot of English blends but sometimes get a hankering for latakia. My daily smoke usually being something strong and usually a dark fired tobacco. Anyhow, this is really nice stuff. The latakia isn't overpowering but it's there. There is a nice sweet nutty profile but not sickly, maybe the influence of the brown cavendish on the virginia, you can actually taste the virginia and it leaves a nice hay like gingerbread aftertaste. Not a nicotine bomb but neither is it lacking in nicotine. All in all a good honest medium bodied and pleasant smoking experience.

What can I say, an absolutely stunning piece of craftsmanship. Just installed a (Oasis Ultra 3.0 - New 3rd Generation Electronic Humidifier - Caliber IV - Digital Hygrometer Thermometer). Peterson Dark Flake Pipe Tobacco - 50g tin (Formerly Dunhill Range) by Fred

Thoroughly enjoyable even as a daily smoke. Rich and strong enough to have character, yet naturally sweet and rounded enough smoke frequently. Burns nicely and easy to keep cool. Obviously the flake cut prolongs the smoke beyond finer cuts like ribbon, but I think that’s a good thing. Not sure I detect the Perique but perhaps that’s the secret to the “rich” element of the flavour. Not that I’m too bothered because if I wanted to taste the Perique, I would just smoke a Perique blend.

Terrible. Loosely rolled. Nasty flavour. Cheap but total waste of money. Camacho machitos much better. IMO
