Por Larranaga Picadores Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 10 October, 2023
Had one of these today in the smoking lounge in Turmeaus Chester. Truly delicious cigar. The draw was absolutely perfect, smoke bellowing out - very cool and fresh in the first third, nice light flavours. Excellent cigar from start to finish, one I’ll be having again and again.

Perdomo 20th Anniversary Connecticut Epicure Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 14 September, 2023
A good sized cigar with a peppery start, like many Puro. This soon settles down into a mild coffee, cedar and cream flavour (my palate). Good smoke output, but some minor rapper issues with splitting both at the first 3rd and the final third. Despite this, this was an enjoyable Puro that I would try again. I am a great lover of Perdomo cigars and look forward to trying the Sun grown and Maduro varieties, which are already in my humidor!

Perdomo 20th Anniversary Connecticut Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

What a cigar! I have tried many different cigars and very rarely do I write a review for them but I just had to say how enjoyable this smoke is. I like the more ‘mild’ cigar and this one is ideal for my taste. I got a good clean cut, it lit very well and at no point did I have to touch it up. I got plenty of smoke throughout and I’d describe the flavour as ‘sweet’ from start to finish. This cigar is definitely up there in my top 3 and if you like the more ‘mild - medium’ cigar then give this a try, you won’t regret it.

Perdomo 10th Anniversary Maduro Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Definitely full strength, or perhaps my palate as I usually prefer mild-medium, light and creamy cigars vs the dark richness that this cigar brings. On light I was punched with strength, leather, rich and earthy flavours. Perfect draw, perfect burn and smooth. Plumes of thick smoke and power. Not a morning smoke and not for beginners. I would recommend on the basis it a perfect example of a rich, dark and strong maduro cigar. I will leave the other 2 I have in my humidor for another 12 months before attempting this one again.

This is my favourite tobacco. Great taste, with a cool smoke and just enough nicotine to be satisfying.

Plasencia Reserva Original Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

This cigar is very well constructed with a solid wrapper, binder and filler that all come together to make a very consistent smoke that doesnt burn too hot and offers respectable plumes of smoke. I smoked using a punch cut and got a consistent draw on it for a 60-minute smoke, no re-lighting required. Ash holds well, only departing after reaching about 1.5 inches. Not particularly flavoursome but I do generally prefer richer cigars. However, the flavour was pretty consistent and offered pleasant toasted almond, almost butter-biscuit type notes. Enjoyed it with a coffee after dinner but it could just as easily be enjoyed as a morning smoke or afternoon treat. Its a good-looking cigar so would make a great gift without breaking the bank, especially for someone new to cigar smoking who might get nic-sick from a stronger smoke.
