Montecristo No. 5 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 07 November, 2016
After a very dissapointing experience with the Montecristo No. 4 I thought I'd pull this out and give it a wirl. Straight away I noticed the cigar felt very tight like the No. 4. Lit it up and found the same very tight unsmokable draw. I have heard good things about these cigars but they seem to be rolled very tight and for me just unsmokable. A real shame. I will continue on in my experementing adventure :)

Like others that have tried these, I found the draw to be extremely tight, to be honest it was just too tight to smoke and enjoy. Ended up wasting the entire cigar and lighting up a Cohiba :( shame

I don't have much to compare this to, but it was a very enjoyable smoke; lasting around 40-50 minutes. Fairly mild smooth smoke, not sure I could pick up much in the way of distinct flavours, except maybe some almonds (marzipan) about 2/3's in but that faded quite quickly and was replaced with straight tobacco taste.

Montecristo Puritos Cigar - Pack of 5
Date Added: Tuesday 25 October, 2016
These little beauties have become my daily Cuban pleasure. What's not to like about the sweet, smooth coffee flavour all crammed into a 20-30 mins of pure relaxation. When you compare them at the same or similar priced Newsagent dross they are fabulous. It's just a shame that British shops/newsagents don't stock them like they do in Dubai where I first had the pleasure of trying them at the amazing price of less than a fiver a pack. Still great value from CGars though at £7. What a bargain!

Montecristo Especial No. 2 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 25 October, 2016
Nice oily sheen on the wrapper, smelt quite strong and dark before lighting. Quite a tight draw. The first 3rd was strong dark coffee with not too much change. Second third, I got some cinnamon floral flavours mixed in with the strong coffee flavour. Final third became quite spicy and peppery whilst maintaining it's strength. Ash held well and was a nice white colour. Burn time was just over 40 minutes. This was only my 2nd real Monte having tried the number 4 and several packs of the lovely little puritos. Quite an enjoyable smoke which does not receive the full 5 stars due to it's slightly tight draw.

I'm new to smoking cigars but have tried a few already and this is by far the best I've had at a good price. Can't go wrong with this one.
