La Invicta Honduran Tres Petit Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 06 April, 2015
This was a major let down for me,it has a very thin wrapper almost like tissue paper and the taste was bitter and uninspiring from the start, being a fan of small cigars and having enjoyed the Nicaraguan la invictas I was expecting to enjoy this but all it tasted of was bitter mint and it fell apart half way through, the only plus point is the price

Lovely smoke on a sunny afternoon with espresso and a single malt. I decided to give these a whirl as a budget alternative to the beautiful but pricey Cohiba robustos at three times the cost and The ash held for a good inch, twice, before the burn became a little uneven in the final third, possibly due to me putting it down for a few minutes to go and refill my glass. I'd been a little dubious at first as the cut was a little flakey, but the wrapper held well right down to the final two inches. The predominant flavour notes were grassy and earthy, lots of pleasant-smelling smoke and no bitterness or overheating even towards the finish. Yes, the draw is very easy, which might take some by surprise, but if treated with respect this is a very rewarding 45 minute experience. I'll be stocking up.

Excellent for price, lasted a good 30-40 minutes. Very easy draw, a bit too easy maybe, flavour changed as it went down, started creamy then peppery but still very mild, got hot half way down. Build was OK, not the best I've sen and it fell apart for last inch and a half but for the price I couldn't really complain. I would get another and see how a few weeks in the humidor changes it. All in all a nice cigar. It might be best using a punch rather than the blade cutter to keep the end together better, but this may have been a one off, another couple will see if this is normal, I may have just got an off one. They will definitely be on my list for the future.

Wasn't expecting too much from this cigar but was pleasantly surprised. It had a good draw, was built very well and lasted a good 30 minutes. It has some good flavours which lated throughout and I will definitely be buying some more of these. Spicy and creamy without being harsh at all, really enjoyable smooth smoke.

Just had my first one of these and very impressed. Spent the morning at the cinema and then came home, Wife has gone to the in-laws and my daughter occupied with her friends so yes an ideal time for a bit of Sunday relaxation on the garden swing seat with a nice cigar and coffee. I brewed a fresh Vietnam coffee which I made sweet latte style which really did go well with this cigar. The cigar looked great, nice smooth brown wrapper. The cigar toasted up and the journey began, nice consistent smooth flavour which remained throughout the cigar. The notes /flavours didn't really change. It did get slightly bitter right at the end but this was not unpleasant. The smoke was 30 minutes and perfect for when you have a small bit of time but don't want to rush a Robusto (which is my favourite) Im defiantly purchasing a few more of these for my Humidor, at less than £4 you cant go wrong with stocking a few!! Hope you enjoy as much as I did.
