Im currently smoking this cigar whilst drinking a Godfather (equal parts Johnny Walker Red and Disorano) which is quite a sweet cocktail.
I have always regarded La Invicta as a par for the course type cigar; meaning that whilst I enjoy them theyre never going to amaze you but that being said theyll never let you down either. I mostly smoke the Nicaraguan version of their robusto but this is the first time Ive had their Honduran range and any of their Maduros.
Straight out of the cello you can see it is well constructed and the wrapper had few flaws and a slightly toothy feel with minimal veins. The pre light was earthy and drew well with the promise of plenty of smoke. This was confirmed upon lighting and the cigar burned evenly with a nice white grey ash that held on quite well.
Like most of the Invictas I have smoked it wasnt hugely complex but did have a nice earthy flavour that finishes with a hint of pepper on the retro. As is expected of a decent cigar the flavours did intensify the longer it burned yet it wasnt unpleasant. As you approach the home stretch it does beco
What a lovely flavoursome cigar. Sweet and peppery, with a perfect draw. I simply didn’t want it to finish. More ordered immediately.
Excellent value in my humble opinion.
Im very impressed with the cigar . I try it 1st time. Plant out put smoke , raser sharp burn, construction brilliant how they roll it. Thinking of to buy the box
As a newbie to cigars i bought these and tried one night with a friend. We were both surprised with the sweetness that greets you initially and the milder snoke was not harsh at all. I will definately be ordering these again in the future. The vanilla tones were there throughout the smoke which lasted around 30mins and complimented the strong black coffee we had with them. A great addition to anybodies humidor.
A great smoke; easily matches some Cubans at twice the price. Get ready for a cloud of smoke, they burn well. Stronger than its Honduran cousin. Smooth, rich flavours. Should age well, if only I could save them.
