A very strange taste. Almost impossible to describe. I didn't detect anything leathery or vinegary. There is a nice underlying fruity sweetness, but it's laced with a flavour which to me seemed something like a cross between an oily rag and burnt cabbage and the room note is probably offensive enough to drive any non-smokers out of the building. It's not for everyone, but it's the kind of tobacco that Satan might enjoy, so I'd recommend it.

What a nice surprise this cigar was, Really nice medium flavoured with plenty of smoke.
It burnt very well and held the ash well. The further down you smoke this the smoother but fuller flavour it becomes and close to the nub its real tasty.
Nice way to spend 90 minutes. (I am a slow smoker).
Dont be fooled by the darkness of the wrapper its a medium smoke and and is enjoyable too.
Must get more.

Not for me. It's not a 'bad' smoke per-say, and is actually really satisfying to rub-out and smell. I was looking for something quite full-flavoured, and this is definitely that. It's just a little too much on the 'leathery' & 'boot-polish' side for me. YMMV. Ah well, I'll keep it sealed and may revisit it one day, or possibly add a little to a bowlful of something milder, as a complementary flavour. There's certainly a LOT of flavour there, a lot to unpack; it's very in your face, and I can see why some people might enjoy this. So don't let me put you off it; I'm still glad I tried it.

First thing I noticed was the smell being a little different to other batches: very mildly perfumey or "soap"-like. HOWEVER, don't be deterred by the smell as this your quintessential Balkan Mixture in taste and exactly what I was hoping for. A nice clean Virginia & Latakia blend, nothing like the smell. Regardless, the aforementioned scents vanished with in a day. I think I actually prefer Balkan MIXTURE to Balkan Flake, in fact. The taste seems a little more pronounced, consistent, and not to mention infectious. I can't put it down lol. This is a regular buy for me, and definitely my most smoked blend overall. Five stars ten-out-of-ten c'est tres delicieux!
