J. Cortes High Class Honduran Cigar - Orange - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 11 November, 2013
The blue J Cortex were my first cigars and even after smoking some much higher quality and better tasting smokes I still go back to them for a cheap somewhat woody bitter but not overly bad smoke. The Honduran however, I found to be quite a horrible smoke. I got plenty of smoke and the cigar was actually quite well constructed however the taste was horribly bitter. So much so that by the half way point I really was not enjoying the smoke. I'm told this is milder than the blue but it did not taste that way to me in the slightest. An even burn topped this off as the worst cigar I have purchased from this site, well not too my taste anyway.

J. Cortes High Class Honduran Cigar - Orange - 1 Single

J Cortez high class Honduran orange. Aesthetics - pretty rough looking machine made cigar, patchy brown to tan wrapper with fairly untidy cap. Pre-punched so can be smoked straight away but punch hole is very small. Feels fairly spongy, neither too dry nor too moist, a lot like a guantanamera Cristales (which being a machine-made "utility smoke", I will compare it to quite a lot) in that respect Light and first impressions - lit ok, took a little bit of nursing to really get going but I think the fact the "veiny" element of the wrapper gives it an uneven thickness is probably at least partially responsible for this. Not producing huge amounts of smoke but it's quite a small cigar I guess. Quite a loose draw but the small diameter of the punched hole in the cap makes it a little firmer I think, were you to actually cut this cigar, you'd probably find yourself smoking it very quickly. There's an unusual fizzing and pooping sound that comes with the draw too which I can't explain, almost sounds like fine rain hitting a fire, doesn't add or take away from the experience but i

Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 1 Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Monday 07 October, 2013
Ordered after a recommendation on Facebook as I must say I really enjoyed this cigar. As others have said, the draw is nice and effortless and the smoke thick and creamy. Yes, there isn't as much of a "development" of flavour as you're smoking as perhaps you would find on other cigars but the flavour is consistent right from the first lighting. A sort of chocolatey and slightly earthy flavour with a very subtle spice note. It's a fine looking, fine smoking cigar which still leaves you feeling "functional" after smoking. One I would definitely order again.

Jose L Piedra Petit Cetros Cigar - 1 Single

The Cetros tastes like a cigar should ,strong & earthy.Nicotine kick is mild, it wont give you a headache. The best of it is it will last all day as it is tight rolled & keeps going out, but this leaves you with a flavoursome chew before relighting.

Jose L Piedra Petit Cetros Cigar - Bundle of 25
Date Added: Sunday 22 September, 2013
Quite a tight draw, as others have said, but not bad. Needed to work at it a couple of times to keep it going. Fairly even burn, ash held on for about 1.5". The first inch was very mild, quite woody, but then a nice dark espresso kicked in with a slight chocolate tinge. Rather nutty in the final third. You get what you pay for, but at the price it's a very nice cigar. I've ordered a bundle on the strength of my first one, so it must have impressed me....
