Jose L Piedra Brevas Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 24 March, 2019
Outstanding cigar for the money! Confirms again, that Cuban cigars are the best in the world. I have tried top brands from Nicaragua, Dom Rep, and Honduras in my quest for cheaper cigars that deliver on taste and all New World cigars fall short of the mark perhaps with the exception of Arturo Fuenta. I enjoyed this so much, I cant wait to try Jose L Piedras other sizes. RECOMMENDED - dont hesitate to buy.

Jose L Piedra Petit Cazadores Cigar - 1 Single

Decided on a quick Sunday afternoon smoke and havent had one of these for a while. All I can say is that after 18 months in the humidor, they have only improved. I still believe that these are a real gem of a cigar and probably the best value Cuban on the market in the UK. Not what you would call complex, but smooth and creamy from start to finish and hold their ash so well its almost gravity defying! All in all a very pleasant experience, time to buy some more so my aged stock doesnt diminish!

Great little cigar and great VFM in my book. Nice looking, well constructed, draw was easy and flavor mild and chocolaty. Lush.

Joya de Nicaragua Silver Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Amazing taste - awful build. Good draw but very, very uneven. As I smoked, a distict seam began to form along a more loosely filled portion. But, at the same time the taste was wonderful: dark chocolate, stout, marshmallow and beetroot... and black cardamom. Sweet but very deep. 2nd third burning a very little more even and flavour getting a little more spicy. A little disappointed but mostly down to the build. The cap was so bad even a shallow cut with a very good cutter left it unraveling ... but the taste was very rich and distinct. A real shame: I would buy more of these if the QC was better. PS. Down to last third: getting very hard work just keeping it lit. Overall: 4/10. Sorry, because flavour is very much 7/10.

J. Cortes High Class Sumatran Cigar - Blue - 1 Single

I have nothing to complain about this cigar and so far it is the best value for money I could find. IÂ’m currently in Brussels, had this cigar for the first time few hours ago with some Irish whisky and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I had. It is mild cigar but as a any time of the day smoke it is great. I see this as a cigar you just wanna smoke casually not particularly looking for anything that will blow you away but will still make you fell good. It comes pre cut and I decide not to cut it myself because the draw was good enough for me, in fact was better than a Romeo y Julieta I had the previous day. Would have this any day with an easy drinking whisky, e.g. Tullamore dew, monkey shoulder, Glenmorangie 10...

Tried this for the first time a few weeks back, and just had to order a few more - its a lovely cigar. Mild but not bland, nice easy draw as Joe says, and for the price I think its great value. To be honest, I was expecting this to be one of those where I come away thinking, oh well, at least I tried it, but its surpassed my expectations, and then some. Definitely a cigar Ill be having again.
