Henri Wintermans Tubed Coronas Deluxe Sumatra Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 02 October, 2018
This cigar is quite interesting. It has a number of benefits - 1. Its dry cured so it doesnt need a humidor, though like any dry cured cigar it tastes a bit better IMO after proper humidification. 2. Its pre-cut so it can be smoked anywhere at any time. 3. Its quite a decent ring gauge and length - just shy of a petit corona. It certainly feels like a real cigar rather than a cigarillo like a half corona from Henri Wintermans. 4. It burns well and lights very easily - never had an issue with it burning in strange ways. 5. It comes in a tube despite being sold for less than a fiver, whereas its Cuban competitor Guantanamera is a good few pounds more for a tubos. The tube means it can be stored and protected anywhere. The main con - It tastes like a Henri Winterman i.e. relatively cheap, Dutch tobacco. I happen to like the flavour so its not a con for me, but if you like the flavour of Cuban or Nicaraguan tobacco and just cant stand the Dutch mix of Brazilian and Indonesian leaf it wont be for you. I think this is excellent value for a cigar and it is very useful for

H. Upmann Majestic Cigar - 1 Single

I want to comment on the H Upmann Majestic’s construction. I had 3 in my XIKAR travel case with a medium sized Bovida humidity control pack and smoked my 3rd cigar today, about a month after purchase. The cigar had an inch of ash all the way to the final inch. Easy draw and so easy to smoke outside in the wind that I think is amazing. Compared to the Romeo Y Julieta Petit Coronas that I found got stodgy half way through the cigars, the H Upmann Majestic provides a consistent easy 30-40 minute smoke, with a faultless burn. What is not to love? 😊👍

After going through the ordeal of being retired on health grounds I haven decided to spend my time enjoying cigars, while my health alliows me. Both my late grandfather’s smoked pipes and used to give me the occasional King Edward cigar. I always found them bitter and put me off. On my 21st Birthday I was given a box of Havana’s that I remember enjoying at the time. Thanks to Callum’s (Chester’ shop) YouTube recommendation saying the H Upmann Majestic is a “anytime cigar” I ordered 3 to try. No bitterness at all and easy to smoke right down to the final half inch. A have a new hobby!!

I finished this stick just under an hour. The construction and draw is excellent. Creamy, sweet and woody. A fantastic morning smoke. I will be buying more of no2.

Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto Cigar - 1 Single

Bought a bunch of these for my wedding, to be shared with cigar aficionados and new smokers. I wanted to give everyone the feel of a real gauge cigar without the epic smoke length or more complex flab out profile of a more enthusiast cigar, and these fit the bill perfectly. A real crowd pleaser! As a Cohiba smoker myself these offered an interesting alternative and Ill certainly look at buying some more for barbecues and social events in future.

H. Upmann Half Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Wednesday 15 August, 2018
I am a newbie cigar enthusiast. Having just smoked this cigar, accompanied by Kraken Rum, I can say I enjoyed it. Really delicate, smooth, and it seem to have revealed more taste as it progressed, which I found very enjoyable. Draw was very nice and smooth as well. Took approximately 30min. I think, though, I prefer fuller taste, hence 4 stars. Worth trying.
