I really loved this short cigar.
A great smooth taste with plenty of smoke.
The price is great.
Buy and try you won’t be disappointed.

Im a regular customer with CGars Ltd and generally speaking, most cigars I buy from you are in good condition and ready to smoke. However this Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial is by the far the worst cigar Ive ever had. The cigar felt dry and hard from the outset, so I placed it in my humidor for about 7 weeks @ 68% humidity, hoping its condition would improve, unfortunately for me it did not. I tried lighting it, but it did not draw at all. I tried cutting in half thinking the end might be plugged, but still it would not light. Well thats £24 down the drain - I wish I could have said it went up in smoke. My advice is best avoid this one.

This was my first decent sized cigar I smoked. I found the construction to be slightly loose, very veiny and the cigar felt dry. The draw was very light and the cigar burnt fairly quickly forcing me to slow down. I found this cigar to be light bodied and mild in taste. I managed to find mild flavours such as a nuttiness and it was mildly creamy. The smoke lasted between 30-40 mins and wasn’t unpleasant.
Overall not anything special but for a first time smoker or as a budget stick I found it to be very reasonable.

First let me thank Hoyo de Monterrey and (Cuban people) so much for this unique cigar.
mild body, the draw, burn, and constrection are amazing. Varied bouquet of Flavors, aromas, and after tastes.. Such as: earthy, grassy, Barley, sun, salty, Dried prunes, and milky smoke.
I will make sure keeps a large number of these fancy sticks in my cigar humidors.

A nice experience, draw was good producing lots of creamy smoke, but burn was a bit uneven and needed touching up a bit, but still produced a long strong ash. Flavours were sweet and nutty and with a little pepper. It burnt slowly and lasted over an hour and fifteen.

Draw and burn ruined the top third of the cigar for me. Draw opened up eventually, but initially the cigar was canoeing, requiring many touch ups and delivering uneven flavors. The last third was nice, delivering some nice nutty flavors and I understood then why people say scuh good things about this sticks bang to buck ratio. I ended up smoking this to the very end, but also came dangerously close from throwing it away altogether. Ill give it another shot, maybe I got a bad example.
