Gurkha Cellar Reserve 12 Year Old Solara Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 01 November, 2025
I was really looking forward to smoking this cigar but unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed. From the moment I straight cut it and lit it, it started to unravel from both ends. The cigar was dry as a bone despite being kept in my humidifier at 70%. Had to abandon it half way through as it became unsmokable. Probably just unlucky as I purchased due to the other positive reviews

Gurkha Cellar Reserve 12 Year Old Grand Rothchild Tubos Cigar - 1 Single

A very good cigar that performs well above its price point. The initial light was reasonably easy ( I often find perfectos a bit of a faff to get going but this wasn't bad at all ) and the burn soon settles to a very even line. There is a sweet note that remains throughout what is a solid medium strength smoke. Although the flavours become a little milder towards the second third they soon kick back in with a little cedar and leather with a gentle spice that holds to the end of the smoke. The ash holds extremely well, and I only initially knocked it off in order to remove the band, which speaks volumes for the quality of the construction of the cigar. This is not the most complex of cigars and I have probably had more enjoyable, albeit smaller, ones for the money which stops me from awarding the full five stars. Having said that I have also had less rewarding smokes for a lot more money than this. Well worth a try.

First Gurkha heritage, straight cut. Beautiful smoke and kept ash extremely well. Good draw and pleasant flavour which was consistent throughout. Really impressed and will buy again as thoroughly enjoyed paired with a dark spiced rum

Beautiful sub 15 quid cigar.. slight canoe in the burn in the 1st third but was dealt with easily and burnt beautifully afterwards. Smooth mild flavours and earthy, deep rich roasted coffee, is what I got out of it. No bitterness towards the end, great draw and certainly as a intro into cuban this is superb for the money. With a nice leisurely smoke it lasted around 50mins paired with a black coffee and a small couple of chunks of dark chocolate..

Gurkha Fat Boy Robusto Gordo Cigar - 1 Single

1st third was a great spice taste, slight after taste of aniseed. Plumes of white smoke throughout and ash held nicely into the 2nd 3rd.. bringing a nice transition into a deep rich coffee/ dark chocolate taste with the final 3rd mellowing out with just beautiful peppery finish.. i used a punch cut on this 60 guage beast, and tbh this is by far the strongest I've smoked for sure as it knocked me for six, and im still new to this world .. would I buy again, once the 2nd one is gone from my stash... damn straight... a good 50min smoke and that was me not taking it easy on it.. no relights, great burn..a solid cigar with superb draw from start to finish..Easy a good 1hr plus cigar if you took your time with it

Gurkha Heritage Collection Limited Edition Robusto Corto Cigar - Box of 24

I've been having issues with some of these when first lighting the inside is burning way to fast compared from the outside by the time the outer layers are burning the middle has burnt down about a centimetre. Also because the middle is burning so fast I've been getting pin holes burn through the outer layer that has ruined the draw. But it has been pretty random I've smoked about half the box and three or four have been bad but the rest are good. So be prepared to be a bit disappointed with these
