Glenallachie 12 Year Old - 46% 70cl by Staff

Single malt spirit, Sherry, and virgin oak casks, with twelve years in the perfect whisky ageing spot, produces a stunning dram. GlenAllachie Distillery perches on the Aberlour stream near the end of the river Spey. Its closest neighbour is Aberlour at the base of Ben Rinnes. It was originally built to produce spirit for blended scotch in 1967. This liquid has influence from both Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks, resulting in a heavy palate of Dried Fruit and Vanilla. A heavy-set vanilla and almond on the nose, followed up by wildflower marmalade. A very smooth palate of honey and liquorice followed by a anise and soft lemony citrus. A long, sweet finish that reminds me of the purple grape skittle or the purple starburst. It tastes purple…

Very disappointing, very hard to draw burnt unevenly an un impressive taste and as a previous reviewer stated totally underwhelming. I wish I’d read the reviews before I purchased.

Gurkha Cellar Reserve 15 Year Old Koi Perfecto Cigar - 1 Single by Keith

Very underwhelming cigar for the price point. There was definitely a sweetness throughout but also had some real bitter moments. The ash held and it burnt well but was overall disappointed with the experience and flavour profile. Doubt Id buy again or recommend.

Great cigar - lots of nice flavours all the way through. Im not a big fan of a perfecto because they can sometimes burn oddly at the beginning but I got there after a few corrections. In light of it being tobacco aged 18 years, I enjoyed it with an 18yr old Talisker

Guantanamera Cristales Cigar - 1 Single by Glen

Really enjoyed this. I don’t smoke cigarettes and thus do not take nicotine well. But this is delicious. Quite a long smoke but hazelnut flavours.

Gurkha Royal Challenge Toro Cigar - 1 Single by Marcin

Very disappointing cigar. Very strong earthy tastes, smoke is very sharp and bitter. Overall very loosely packed, Im glad that I went for the shallow V cut. Overall cheap feel. There are so many other cigars in this price range that are overwhelmingly better. If you wont try, you wont know. Wont ever make its way to my humidor.
