Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 21 September, 2025
I smoked this cigar with Yellow Spot Irish Whisky. The pairing was fantastic, actually the best cigar and spirit pairing I have ever done. The Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios is a good cigar. Im not a massive fan of Cuban cigars because they lack the flavour and complexity when compared to new world cigars, but this Cohiba Maduro is a bit different to most other Cuban cigars. The Maduro wrapper really intensifies the flavour and give me some cocoa notes which I don't usually get from Cuban cigars. Plenty of smoke output with average burn and construction. Not a bad cigar and probably the best Cohiba I have smoked.

Cohiba Siglo I Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Friday 19 September, 2025
The Cohiba Siglo I might be small, but it quickly became one of my favorite cigars I’ve smoked so far. From the very first draw, it just felt effortless, an all round creamy smoke, and flavors that seemed to flow naturally without me having to think too hard about them. I picked up smooth notes of cedar, a little sweetness, and that signature Cohiba grassy touch that gives it such a refined feel. Its flavours are so clean and balanced that it feels far more special than its size suggests. The construction was flawless I see where the reputation comes from. The burn was exquisite, no touchups, just pure enjoyment from start to finish. For me, this cigar is the definition of elegance in a small format. Quick enough for when time is short, but satisfying enough to feel complete. Truly effortless, and a cigar I’ll remember. One I’m excited to pick up and smoke again.

Casa Carrillo Encore Majestic Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 13 September, 2025
Close to 50 minutes, but I was so pleasantly relaxed that I forgot to note the time when I finished. Good construction and lots of smoke (which is nice) although the burn became uneven in the final third - not that this affected enjoyment in any way. Not quite as flavoursome as I had been hoping for, given the excellent reviews, and not as good as the Casa Carrillo Prequel in my mind. However, I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend it to a friend, as well as buying more for myself. If only it was slightly smoother with a little more depth of flavour. But all in all, an excellent smoke and I'm picking nits. I was sipping a quality rum while while smoking (Westerhall Estate) which worked very well indeed.

This is my daily smoke. A great cigar and at a good price point. Reliable draw unlike many Cubans and a good flavour profile. Hope they will be back in stock soon.

Really nice smoke, light and creamy notes. Held ash very well and remained lit throughout the smoke. Will be adding this to my favourites list.

Casa Turrent 1880 Maduro Coronita Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 02 September, 2025
The Casa Turrent 1880 Maduro Coronita was my first cigar of this kind, and I really enjoyed it. The taste was smooth but rich. I picked up sweet chocolate and a bit of coffee with some earthiness in the background. The draw remained cooler at the very end. It burned evenly and lasted me about 30 minutes without any issues. For me, it felt like a comforting, satisfying smoke that I’d happily go back to.
