This is my favourite medium size cigar although on the slightly price side for me. They are ideal for the special occasion.
I can just finish work on a Friday order a take away and fine red wine and smoke this afterwards.
The taste of exceptional, along with the draw and smoke.

i will start by saying this is a really nice looking cigar and for the first two thirds and about 30 minutes of smoking I was really enjoying it then bang the outer leaf split and that was that the taste went from mild to bitter and I had to leave it. That said I will probably get some more in case it was just a duff or more likely something I had done wrong as until then I thought I had found that elusive cigar I was looking for ( cheap, nice taste and looks good ) .

Not a bad smoke lasted about 45 mins with even burn all the way to the end, not overpowering in taste but still enjoyable. Not bad for a cigar that's cheaper than the pint I drank it with.

I must have had a bad roll with my first experience of charatan. After cutting, three large cracks appeared that ran up the length of the cigar to the band. The wrapper also started peeling off even though it had not been cut above the cap. The draw on the cigar was very poor and the flavour very one dimensional, most probably due to the damage. It did appear to be very tightly wrapped and the cracks almost "pinged" open after cutting. Would not buy again after this experience.

Not sure why these have only (at the time of me buying the first one) got a 3 star rating. Guessing it is because there are not many reviews so the negative ones have more weight than they deserve.
For a less than £4 cigar these are great, I would much rather smoke these as an everyday smoke than a £2/ £3 packet cigar. It had a good draw and lasted around 65 mins. Happily giving it a 5 star (for what it is)
I have already received the extras I ordered so I look forward to smoking those soon.

Charatan Panatella Cigar - 1 Single

This is described as 'full flavoured' and yes it was full of subtle (and no harsh) flavour, a very nice smooth smoke that lasted 60 minutes. The ash held well dropping around every 15mins. The burn was fairly consistent, with a couple of adjustments needed throughout the smoke. Will definitely consider these again on a future order. Have given it a 5 as it is very good for the price.
