Chinchalero Picadillos Cigar - 1 Single

Must say I agree with Christian (over on previous review page) on this one, better to spend an extra pound for chinche's excellent Novillo fuerte maduro. But will give an extra star for its build, and price.

Cuaba Divinos Cigar - 1 Single

I picked up one of these in Brussels recently. It seemed well made with a nice, dark, oily looking wrapper. As many others have stated, it had a tight draw, although it produced plenty of smoke and the draw didn’t affect the smoking of it much, tight as it was. The pre-light draw had an earthy quality to it with hints of sweetness. The burn wasn’t the best. It became uneven quite soon and didn’t correct itself so I had to touch up the lagging side with my lighter. The first few puffs were truly amazing. Naturally there was that unmistakable Cuban flavour along with earth and creamy chocolate notes. This soon gave way to a much more noticeable earthiness and some spice, still with that creamy chocolate in the background. The spiciness picked up in the second half and intensified towards the end. I smoked it until there was just less than an inch left and only abandoned it because it was tunnelling and another touch up would have killed it anyway. Despite the less than stellar burn and draw, it was one of the tastiest cigars I’ve ever smoked. The flavours were bold, even with the tig

Conquistador Corona Cigar - 1 Single

I might give this one another pass considering other favourable reviews but other than good construction (if a tad loose) this was a rather unpleasant smoke on this occasion. First inch or so was uncharacteristically harsh, almost breathtakingly so and the waves of soapy smoke carried similar sharp, unpleasant whiff of tobacco, grass and wood, mixed into soul crushing scattered blend of flavours. It developed further and relaxed somewhat but this remained a much heavier cigar than expected and without ever really earning stripes for being full bodied. Some flavours certainly appeal to particular smokers but I will wait a while before trying Conquistador again even if pound for pound this is indeed a lot of fairly well made cigar.

One of my favourite budget cigars! It's really worth all the money, a nice smoke for 30-35 min. I really enjoyed and definitely recommended

Brilliant for the price. Can be a great daily smoke for anybody who likes the stogies but can't always afford the more expensive brands. You can even go a pound higher and try out the 60 ring gauge Chinchalero, (I'm afraid i forget the name of the actual cigar now but you can find it on the Chinchalero page) which is also great and creates a nice amount of smoke :-) It also comes in the darker or lighter wrapper just like this cigar. I tend to prefer the dark but the lighter is good also.
