Alec Bradley Texas Lancero Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Tuesday 22 September, 2015
Disappointed to say the least! It took so much nursing keep it burning evenly, I even cut it half to give it another chance but gave up and had a Regius instead! No spiciness for me just hints of frustration with a strong undertone of annoyance!

Really nice cigar. Smooth, with bitter chocolate notes and peppered coffee foam (ha, does that make any sense?!). Got a bit harsh to the end so I had to slow down. Burns well but had to re-light once. A slow burner for sure. Definitely will buy again and am keen on trying the Churchill size.

I enjoyed this cigar recently at my sisters wedding following a recommendation from a twitter user. When you say smoke a cigar, your not kidding: it produced a lot of smoke and lasted quite a while (1. 5 hours and 3 drams of whisky). The cigar itself was creamy throughout and had hints of various spices to keep the interest. However, whilst I enjoyed it, I thought that the flavours in general were lacking. There were some pleasant tastes, however I would have liked them to be a bit more prevalent. Overall a nice smoke that falls short of the mark for my tastes. I would smoke one again if I was offered, but at the price I feel there are better cigars available.

Alec Bradley Prensado Churchill Cigar - 1 Single

A lovely smoke it has to be said, this cigar looks and smells great before you even light it,the pre lit draw is woody with a slight bitterness and good mild tobacco flavours, upon first lighting the woody mild tobacco flavours are confirmed and also a slight black coffee flavour is present,it remains this way until about the half way point when the coffee disappears and a subtle peppery kick and a slight bitterness intermingle with the mild tobacco flavours, this increases in the last two inches and an earthy taste starts to overwhelm the other flavours. I disagree that this is a full bodied smoke mild/medium I'd say comparable to somewhere between a HdM and a romeo and I smoked it on an empty stomach with a cup of tea! But still very good

I must say this is a pretty good cigar for the price. It starts of a bit peppery but then as it slowly burns through the spiciness subsides and it becomes more mellow with hints of leather and caramel. The build quality is ok although I have found the draw end can become a bit fragile as you go through it. I am a newbie at this but honestly the experience has been very pleasant. It goes well with whisky although I bet it goes better with some Coniac. i would recommend this for anyone starting off and on a budget. Well worth it. Lasted me about 45-50 minutes with draws every few minutes.

Good sturdy blade, will get through just about anything - used it the other day on the Alec Bradley Texas Lancero. Sharp blade, sturdy feel, good grip, thoroughly recommended. Only downside is that it doesn't have the same style-factor as a metal alternative, though I have always preferred factor over form!
