Very pleasant start and mid, the end was not quite as refined as some dearer cigars but was still okay. Construction and burn was decent. All in all it was a great cigar for the money, will most likely be ordering again. Was probably a medium or so strength, but that is kind of my style.

I echo what David said about this. Its actually quite horrible. Harsh & bitter. I bought one yesterday from the Chester store to have during a nice evening walk... I could only get down to the river before I had to bin it (about 10 minute walk). It genuinely made my eyes water. This one is pretty cheap but cheap doesnt mean bad. Inka secret bend are cheap but a lovely smoke.

So this one might not be to everyone’s taste, but as the saying goes “If you know,You know”.Probably suited to the more discerning cigar smoker, yes it’s quite strong in my opinion, But I like that burn on the retro hale, good flavour and solid construction, and for the price,If I’d paid double what this cost I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Maybe some have had a bad un but my experience was wonderful ! Great price, and length and same ring gauge as many Cubans that are tight as hell. Cut well, good dry draw and burned great to the end. A little harsh for the first few minutes on the back of the palate but buttered up quickly and loved the rest of it, for the price certainly. Retro-hale was smooth and its a buy again from me.

Harsh and bitter from the first draw. It has the overpowering taste and smell of cheap cigarette smoke. The retro hale is deeply unpleasant. I could only finish the first half of this cigar.

I got this to see what the regius smokes were like as they seemed like great value but I would rather spend more on quality and smoke less than buy king Edwards! I often see posts about smoke time saying they got 30 mins on a cigar that I get an hour on and then complain about the taste being bland etc. This cigar, like most cigars, rewards patience. If you are taking a hearty full draw and don’t leave time for the cherry to cool down, the difference is like night and day. Now I know the majority of people reading this will say ‘well, duh!’, but the reason I mention it is the smoke times on this site given by cgars is often way too low. Davidoff do it too on their materials, so on the off chance you are here to say this was disappointing, buy another and smoke it slowly. It should last an hour or more, that is when the flavours come out. If you rush it, the bitter tastes cloud the great subtle flavours. For the price, this is a phenomenal cigar. Only the fuente stick of the same size compares and that one is £2 more. This is the price of a crappy petrol station henri winterman and it is the quality of something over twice the price. I shall be loading my humidor up with regius. Well done regius.
