Redbreast 15 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey - 70cl 46%

One of the most decorated Irish whiskeys, Redbreast is the largest selling Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey in the world.

Regarded as the definitive expression of traditional Single Pot Still whiskey, the genesis of Redbreast dates back to 1903 when John Jameson & Son entered into an agreement with the Gilbeys Wines & Spirits Import Company to supply them with new make spirit from their Bow St. Distillery.

Their 15-year-old is a pure pot still whiskey. It's a blend of malted and unmalted barley and is triple distilled.

Like the name suggests, the whiskey has been aged for a minimum of 15 years, and it doesn't go through chill-filtering before bottling.

Nose: Dark honey and marzipan starts things off followed by delicious caramel which balances things out nicely.

Palate: Rich and aromatic with liquorice allsorts, sugarcoated fennel seeds and a warming hint from cinnamon and ginger. Sherry and toffee finish the palate off in style.

Finish: Slightly drying with a touch of peppery spice.
