A little gem. When drinking wine, I regard them as either full blown reds, or quaffing wines...wines that are hugely enjoyable, but do not cost the earth. To my mind this cigar is in the quaffing category, delivers on every level, an even burn, easy draw and a mixture of smooth flavours that keep on giving, right to the end...and all of this at a fantastic price. Will ensure there are always some in my humidor.

This was a bit disappointing after reading the great reviews and knowing how respected the brand is. The burn was uneven and the draw inconsistent, needed re-lighting a few times. I did get some varying flavours, hints of sweetness, reminded me of the Jose L Piedra, but by the final third I had given up. My cigar box has been at 69% so quite high if that has anything to do with it, I might lower the humidity. Worth noting anyway. If youre looking for a budget Cuban Id suggest saving some pocket change and going for the Jose Brevas.

CGars Cuban of the month and another big win for the company! As winter comes in one may choose to go for shorter Stogies and this was fantastic. I drew on this little angel in a frantic fashion as it tasted so damm good. Nice kick but smooth; pretty creamy for a Cuban with a nice hit of wood pepper. Got give CGars points also for great quality control on stogies IÂ’ve ordered. Excellent service.

1. Appearance & Construction. From the outset this cigar looks amazing. Nice brown wrapper. Smooth to touch and feel. Gold and red label that screams regal, prestige. Cigar had decent weight to it and filled to perfection. 15 points. 2. Flavor & Aroma. Even before lighting theres a strong earthy, chocolatey smell that tantalises the taste buds. The flavor was strong. Could taste earthy leathery tones with chocolate in the background, but balanced to perfection. Halfway through the 2nd 3rd the flavor develops with a wonderful spicy blackpepercorn taste that has been balanced with the chocolate. Youd expect nothing less from a Cuban. Flavor was out of this world! 25 points. 3. Smoking Characteristics. From cutting to lighting everything came with ease for this cigar. The draw was perfection considering how much tobacco was packed into this beauty. The burn was even all throughout the smoke. Smoke felt cool and at no point did it feel warm. Cigar did not go out and the taste kept getting better and better. 25 points. 4. Overall Experience. This was a pleasant surprise. I prefer light cigars and thought that this may be too strong but no, balanced to perfection. Taste and flavor was extra ordinary. Started out earthy, leathery and chocolatey and halfway through the 2nd 3rd there was also a hint of spice almost like black peppercorns to go with the rest. Balanced to perfection. Everything about this cigar from the look and feel to the label and duration of the smoke just screamed royalty, and felt like a person like me should not have the audacity to smoke something that belongs to kings. With an advertised smoking time of 30mins I managed to get this to 45mins with a relaxing smoking rhythm. Definitely will be buying this again! 35 points. Total = 100 points.
