QUORUM

Quorum cigars are all handmade in one of the top cigar making countries, Nicaragua. You will find three different lines from Quorum, whilst they all use the exact same Nicaraguan blend they are each carefully wrapped in different wrappers, showing the massive impact a wrapper can have on a good cigar.

QUORUM MADURO

These cigars are finished in a beautiful dark Maduro wrapper, Maduro meaning "mature" in Spanish and that's exactly what this wrapper is, these particular wrapper leaves are harvested from the top of the tobacco plant and also undergo a longer ripening process which also requires more care than other wrapper leaves.

Maduro wrappers are naturally sweeter, therefore adding a lovely sweetness onto the palate which compliments Quorums Nicaraguan blend.

Tasting Notes

The combination of the spciness of the upper priming Sumatra sungrown wrapper with the smoothness of the genuine Connecticut broadleaf binder gives Quorum Maduro its naturally sweet and rich maduro flavour.

I am new to this cigar smoking so this will be brief. This is a very good cigar and in my opinion worth the money. It was very nice and mellow until the last 3rd and then it blew my socks off, this is definitely a medium strength if not more when you get the the last 3rd. I’ve only tried mild up to this point. It has a very nice flavour but it’s a huge cigar and does take a long time to smoke it.

Got this in my sub pack for September. Lighting was fine, no issues, the burn was a shaky start but IÂ’m not the best at toasting a cigar. To begin with the draw was fantastic and stayed like that through out the one hour and thirty odd minutes I had with this. To me, for the price, I canÂ’t fault this cigar at all. I gave this a V cut and I found this cigar to be a pure pleasure. I know far too many cigar aficionadoÂ’s and snobs, many self proclaimed and otherwise that would steer away from this cigar (and in my opinion, eleven quid isnÂ’t chicken feed) and I found it for then length and and RG to be a bargain in all respects of the word. My fellow reviewer said his draw was tight, and each cigar is different, on the contrary, my cigar was super light, and IÂ’d liken it to a Davidoff in its airy flow. I took light puffs and I got a great deal of creamy white smoke with a burst of flavour. IÂ’m not saying TomÂ’s review is wrong or anything, IÂ’m saying all cigars are subjective and they are organic so you can run into issues on an individual basis. My experience with this brand which was my first, was a massively pleasurable and wonderful experience. A lovely mild cedar and earthy taste and a cigar I didnÂ’t want to end, so much I nibbled it and nearly burnt me old lips. If youÂ’re budget conscious, looking for a good cigar with a good length and RG then you canÂ’t go too wrong here. My opinion is, go in here with an open mind, if you donÂ’t like it, pop it in the ash tray and have a cigar more to your taste. So, itÂ’s a four star for me. I knocked one off for the fact my burn needed the odd touch up. Beyond that one quibble, to me, this has been one wonderful experience. As always, Cgars packaged my Cigars were packaged well and arrived on time as always. Thank you, Georgina for this wonderful choice.

I found this a fairly unremarkable smoke, it is by no means a bad cigar but for the price you can do better. fairy mild but it gets better in the last third. I found it was much better as a straight cut rather than a punch as the draw is fairly tight. It is not one I would by again, however if someone offered me one I would smoke it quite happily. Probably a good first time maduro.
