Por Larranaga is a brand with a long history. Founded in 1834, it enjoys a well earned reputation for its consistency and good presentation. Por Larrañaga cigars are handmade using long-filler tobacco leaves harvested from the world famous Pinar del Rio region of Cuba.

Globally the range includes cigars made using both the ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally hand made technique, and the ‘tripa corta, totalmente a mano’ – short filler, totally handmade method, but in the UK only the former is offered.

MONTECARLO

Really delightful light smoke from the word go. Easy draw, even burn all the way down. Some butteriness and a hint of leather. Highly recommended. A great smoke!


Ive had a few of these montecarlos and barring 1 which was maybe from a dodgy batch, they were utterly divine. Its a light to medium cigar but with a wonderful depth of flavour. Theres lovely dark chocolate hints, with some spice, aromatic wood flavours its easily my fave cigar now. Would definitely recommend.


Very woody and sweet smoke with some buttery vanilla notes. Found it a very tight draw and took a while to get going. Went out once and about half way down it started to burn uneven. Dont know if I just had a bit of a duff one. Lasted about 40/45 mins. Was a pleasant smoke, but not sure its for me.


This is a fantastic thin and eliminate cigar that can last over an hour, with often a leather start becoming sweet woody cuban spice, starting light and never getting past medium. But needs to have a relatively high humanity of 67-9 or can go out which is true but odd given that its wetter than 62-5 which was the case with the first few... I know other smokers often smoke at the lower humidity too, but this likes it wetter... enjoy this excellent value cigar form breakfast throughout the day to suit yourself and mood...

