Penderyn Portwood - 46% 70cl

This is a 1st issue bottling and the first time the folks at Penderyn have bottled Portwood at 46%.

It won gold in the 'Europe – Single Malt Premium' category at the 2016 World Whisky Masters and was described as “Full-bodied and well matured”.

This Port-finished Welsh single malt was originally bottled only for the French market, but due to how much attention this whisky has obtained, it has now become a fixture in the distillery's standard range.

This Portwood-finish whisky is a firm favourite among our customers in France and is a full-bodied whisky.

It is bottled at 46% abv.

Nose: Aromas of rich dried fruits with dark chocolate and cranberries; a hint of toasty oak mingles with a baked nutty dryness

Palate: A creamy richness with some honey and spiced notes emerging

Finish: Smooth with a soft oak and honey sweetness lingering gently on the tongue
