Partagas 898 Varnished Cigar - 1 Single

Fantastic flavours after initial 1/4, much like the grassy notes of a RyJ but also a keynote of any Partagas. Underlying full flavour throughout the smoke enhanced by developing dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. Good draw if a little tight. The main downside was it started to canoe towards last third and then became impossible to draw and keep alight, a proper battle, so I gave it a prod and it eventually came good with 3/4 to spare but by then I had had enough. Shame.
Overall - good value, nice cigar, could be Russian roulette with a box, who knows. I have ordered another which arrived today, as I live in hope they will come good.
One of the most flavoursome cigars Ive had to date. 3 stars due to superlative flavour but loses one or two for the fiasco at the end.
