OLIVA

The Oliva Cigar story began in the late 1800s, when Melanio Oliva started growing cigar tobacco in Cuba. His heirs carried on the family tradition in the fields, but it was his grandson Gilberto Oliva Sr. who began making cigars.

Nicaraguan tobacco helped Oliva survive. The cigar that brought it to the attention of connoisseurs debuted in 2006: Oliva Serie V. Made by a small group of rollers and blended for strength and style, the Serie V line was an immediate hit. In 2012, to pay tribute to the first man in the family to grow cigar tobacco, Oliva added the Melanio version, which is distinguished from the original by its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador. The No. 1 Cigar of the Year 2014, Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuarado has rich, big notes of leather framed by a range of coffee, caramel and woody intonations. It’s a classic smoke.

SERIE O

Serie O is a Puro. Made in the original tradition of growing popular seeds in diverse regions of the country to produce a distinct blend. This blend was achieved by growing their seeds in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa Valley.

Tasting Notes

This flavourful blend exhibits complex tobacco with rich coffee and dark chocolate tones. A subtle and well balanced spice is present throughout.

Claude, Get a grip you pretentious twat. I dont care about you and where your cabin is, we are talking cigars. Not you and your poncey life style, especially pasties 51. Get a life its a great cigar, enjoy it for what it is, A GREAT CIGAR. Own up. You are a smug, self-righteous git who doesnt know his arse from his elbow. Have a nice day and keep sucking on that cheep American shite.

Il keep this short and simple. This is a great smoke, no build problems. Great white ash. No harsh taste towards the end for me and plenty of smoke.

Youll get no frills from me. Fantastic cigar, burnt well, tasted great, and lasted an age, and if needed you could beat someone to death with it. What more do you need. Brilliant.

Just read a review by “Claude”, who gushed about his mountain lodge - and how civilised the French are. Don’t expect that level of knobbery from me! I’ll just say that the O is a reliable and satisfying smoke for seasoned cigar smokers. Expect notes of leather, cream and cedar, and a smoke that burns at the right temperature - even if you abuse it!
