Had one of these saved in my humidor specifically to smoke after my daughters wedding whilst sitting around a blazing fire pit in the garden at 1 am with very dear fiends and a bottle of White Horse whisky, (who my dad worked for for 40 years). It didn’t disappoint and was a great way to finish a wonderful day.

Purchased this cigar from Cgars at Liverpool 19 May. Decent cigar smoked at the Cavern Quarter. Cost over £25. I asked if I could have it at the internet price, not aware that the Petit Number 2 costs £20.99 via that channel. I was assured that the price difference is only a couple of pounds by the shop assistant. I knew this to be untrue but almost £5 difference is no laughing matter. British cigar vendor price mark up is extortionate at the best of times but this grieves me. Would give the cigar alone 4 stars but one is dropped off for the inexplicable £5 difference between shop and internet price.

With the experience of the Montecristo no 2 but for all of you that doesnt have the time to enjoy the full no 2. This is a cigar made for you. David - C.Gars Ltd Cigar Ambassador

My first impressions of this cigar are quite good: Construction was solid, burn was even, draw was open and I could puff away at a slow pace without it going out on me. As far as the flavours were concerned it had that classic Cuban profile and the unmistakable Montecristo flavours, although it wasnt quite as full on as the regular No. 2. Very creamy from start to finish with very mild hints of spice and almonds although I agree with the review from Scott that the cigar actually seems to get blander as it progressed. In my limited experience most cigars start to wake up in the second or final third but not so with the Petit No. 2. This isnt necessarily a bad thing since the flavours were very enjoyable, but it did leave me feeling like I wanted a little bit more out of the cigar. I think the smoking time of 30-45 minutes is pretty accurate provided youre the kind of person who will smoke down to the nub and doesnt mind the smoke getting a little hot. While it was an enjoyable 45 minute smoke, the fact that the cigar didnt really seem to develop beyond the first light loses it points. Ive got a few more in the humidor and will probably try another one next weekend to see if anything changes.

Loved this one. Nice 40 minute smoke with lots of flavour took my time as I normally smoke only lighter cigars needed to spike it through with a wooden skewer as it was a bit juicy but it didnt put me off like some cheaper smokes. Will be buying more.

Unfortunately I spoiled my first experience with the Petit No. 2 due to a slip of the hand during lighting which incinerated the wrapper and led to burn problems, but I had 3 more and so onwards and upwards. My second experience however was divine, the first third was actually the best part of the whole cigar with a lovely creamy, buttery and spicy taste. Past the 2nd third these flavours made way and I got rich flavours of wood and nuts but with a mellow smoothness about them, never overpowering. in the 3/3 the signature buttery flavour showed it's face again in combination with a balanced and no nonesense rich Cuban tobacco taste. Simply superb. I wish I could smoke these every day but my bank would strongly disagree.
