Description

From Michter's comes the 2022 edition of Shenk's Homestead American whiskey.

Produced by Michter's in homage to John Shenk, who founded a distillery in 1753, which would eventually go onto become The Michter's Distillery! 

Shenk’s Homestead, a sour-mash whisky incorporating plenty of rye, matured partly in Chinquapin oak barrels.

A portion of the 2022 release was aged in toasted French oak barrels which were made from 24-month air-dried wood sourced from the Vosges region and then selected by Michter's master of maturation Andrea Wilson.

Bottled at 45.6% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Toasty with molasses and spice.

Palate: A whiskey to savour complimented by highlights of smooth spice, dried fruit and honey.

Finish: Smooth wisth delicate maturity
