Lindores Abbey Distillery was built in 2016 but can trace it roots back to 1494 as being the first officially recognised site of the recorded distillation of scotch whisky as it appeared on the exchequer roll of that year.
The third “Casks of Lindores” bottling features exclusively Sherry butts, one of the three core cask types used at Lindores.
Matured exclusively in Oloroso Sherry Butts from the area around the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
This Lindores Single Malt is bottled onsite at a unique Limited-Edition strength of 49.4% ABV
Nose: Mellow fruity prunes, dates, molasse, touches of vanilla and milk chocolate.
Palate: Mellow dried fruits, molasse, dark chocolate with layers of cinnamon and ginger combined with a pleasant nuttiness like walnuts and chestnuts. Smooth texture.
Finish: Medium to long
