Kilkerran's heavily peated spirit is delicious and we're glad to see another batch reach shelves.

This is the fourth batch in the ‘Heavily Peated’ series from Kilkerran.

It’s an exceptional cambeltown single malt, and builds around the core of peat-smoke that you’d expect from a whisky bearing this name.

Made using whisky drawn from 80% ex-bourbon and 20% ex-sherry casks.

Limited to 1 per customer - please note, stock is limited from secondary market releases. 

Tasting Notes

Nose: A strong maritime influence. The sweet peat smoke is intense and welcoming as it fills the glass, like a smouldering blackened marshmallow on the campfire. There is a floral earthiness reminiscent of our native blooming white heather.

Palate: Complex. Peat smoke dominates with malty undertones of crushed digestive biscuits. A liquorice note develops as it opens up and there is a hint of sweetness, like sticky honey glazing.

Finish: The finish is long with the strong peat smoke influence remaining alongside malty, cereal characteristics. A slight oakiness is detectable and coastal maritime flavours endure.
