Cheap, well at first i though so but. A box of 5 so for the money very good but 3 out of the five did not burn right and tasted horrible, afterword i felt as if i had been in a burning building my throat hurt and i had a horrible taste in my mouth. The other 2 were alright but 2 alright cigars for £25.00 aint cheap. I,ll but better quality in fiture, i,m a beginner. I hope future foray's into cuban cigars are more pleasurable. But maybe i'm just very unlucky.

It's been a while since I left my original review of this type and brand of cigar. Since my last post I have 'indulged' in more expensive brands such as Montecristo, Punch, and Romeo Y Julieta. So what's new? Well for a start, the RYJ made me physically throw up! Not a great smoke at all. As for the Punch and Monte, they were ok, but nothing special. I've had several more Piedra's (both Nacionales and Cazadores) and these kick the arse of the above 'premium' brands. They're cheap (too cheap perhaps for a Cuban?) and certainly a lot more than cheerful. In my humble opinion they deserve much more kudos than they currently get. A great smoke from start to finish, though they certainly do benefit from a few months in a humidor/humijar (but what cigar doesn't?). I'm going to order these again- and so will you once you've given them a go!! They're the Cuban worker's cigar of choice, and those guys can't be wrong. Roll on Jose L Piedra, your cigars rock- cheers!! written by Roon, UK

A great cheap cigar. No, it`s not the most complex smoke in the world, no, it`s not the best looking, either, but at half the price (or less) of a "named" Cuban (and considerably better than some I`ve smoked) - this is a fine cigar and a firm favourite. It`s not the kind of cigar to plan a meal around or crack open a bottle of vintage port with - it`s exactly what it`s made for in Cuba - an "every day working mans` cigar". 4/5 for taste, 5/5 for value - just shows you how overpriced most Cubans are. Not for the aficionado - not at aficionado prices, either. Highly recommended. written by Dave Francis

Have just smoked one of these for the first time and have thoroughly enjoyed it.Im still new to cubans so maybe my opinion doesnt count for much but its hard to believe that cigars that cost two to three hundred pounds per box can be that much better.Ill be buying some more, full marks for the quality at the price. written by Mike
