As the latest edition to the list of Blue Label, Chinese New Year's edition 'The Rooster' is a real collectors item.

The Rooster embodies the pioneering spirit of Johnnie Walker, rising as dawn breaks on the horizon, signalling the start of a new day and great new beginnings.

Nose: Fragrant with a good body. Present are notes of oak, crisp spice, dried fruits and pastries as well as berry fruits, aniseed and hints of cedar wood. A touch of spice and citrus completes things nicely.

Palate: Supple and balanced, toffee and hints of wistful smoke follow followed by chocolate, hints of grass and a helping of malt.

Finish: Floral and oaky, the finish is a good length which is urged on by a plume of very well-kept highland style smoke. Dried fruit, honey and honey rounds everything off.
