Description

A miniature bottle of John Haig & Co. Ltd. Gold Label Liqueur Blended Scotch Whisky, sealed with a spring cap closure.

This was bottled for the US market and imported by James M McCunn & Co. NYC. We estimate this was bottled in the 1930s.

The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to His Majesty King George V.

Please note as this is a vintage whisky, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary.

 

Tasting Notes

Smoky, Haig Gold Label deserves a much wider appreciation offering up as much of the pleasure and character of single malt whiskies.

Moderately smoky and peaty like many single malts, with light spice notes and increasingly pleasant after-taste, Haig Gold Label is an old-style full-bodied blend, giving antique 'true whisky' satisfaction.
