A good cigar. The wrapper had a patch on mine but any concerns i had were put to sleep on smoking this cigar an excellent draw with plenty of smoke that gave flavours of sweet black coffee with hints of spice and dark chocolate. One that i will be buying again. 7/10

Im new to smoking bigger cigars, i normally smoke the quick castellas etc. i have been trying out some of the favourites from this site, and i have to say this one is right up there as my favourite. Very smooth, amazing draw and smoked right to end without any bitter aftertaste. Cant believe you can get such a good quality cigar at this price.. definitely ordering more of these!

Im currently smoking this cigar whilst drinking a Godfather (equal parts Johnny Walker Red and Disorano) which is quite a sweet cocktail. I have always regarded La Invicta as a par for the course type cigar; meaning that whilst I enjoy them theyre never going to amaze you but that being said theyll never let you down either. I mostly smoke the Nicaraguan version of their robusto but this is the first time Ive had their Honduran range and any of their Maduros. Straight out of the cello you can see it is well constructed and the wrapper had few flaws and a slightly toothy feel with minimal veins. The pre light was earthy and drew well with the promise of plenty of smoke. This was confirmed upon lighting and the cigar burned evenly with a nice white grey ash that held on quite well. Like most of the Invictas I have smoked it wasnt hugely complex but did have a nice earthy flavour that finishes with a hint of pepper on the retro. As is expected of a decent cigar the flavours did intensify the longer it burned yet it wasnt unpleasant. As you approach the home stretch it does become quite tarry so be sure to give it a good purge before going back for more. Overall its not at all bad. Plumes of smoke on every draw, holds ash well and burns perfectly. There is enough about it to enjoy all the way through without being anything special. A good day to day smoke and for 7 quid you really cannot grumble. I bought it with in a Maduro inspired order along side a Quorum Nicaraguan and a Jiuliany Dominican. As the first out the box its done well and done nothing to change my opinion of La Invicta as a brand. Simple, unpretentious and inexpensive. Does exactly what it says on the tin. A solid 7 out of 10 cigar.

What a lovely flavoursome cigar. Sweet and peppery, with a perfect draw. I simply didn’t want it to finish. More ordered immediately. Excellent value in my humble opinion.

I'm still fairly new to the cigar world but I fell on my feet with this stick. I have always been a fan of tobacco that gives you something to think about and this certainly keeps you interested. There is a beautifully spicy taste to this cigar, and a pretty even burn. I found that you need to take your time with it or the cigar will bite back with a strong hit if you try to do a Thomas the tank engine impression but if enjoyed with a decent coffee or dark ale it gives a lovely flavour with no bitterness. Only draw back is the caps can be a little bit delicate on the occasional one but a clean cut will solve this. I bought one as a bit of selection and within the first third had already ordered another 5 as a after work smoke. For the price and the taste it can't be knocked at all!
